Whitey was great. Music got a lil to loud and distorted at the end . As soon as the show was over the place shut the stage curtain and started running everyone off. I thought was kinda rude but hey it was in a casino

Whitey Morgan and the 78s never disappoint. This was our second time seeing them live. Whitey is a true professional and the band is always tight. They are one of the few acts that sound just as good live as digitally. We also love the fact that their roots are true country and not the crap being spewed out by Nashville. The smaller intimate venue made it a great experience and worth the drive from Minnesota.

Acoustic set and Whitey killed it - such a throw-back...wishing he could get some radio play to show everyone what country music really is. Can't wait to find Whitey on tour with the full band - dude is more than legit; really belongs back with Waylon and Haggard, although I'd pay very good money if he, Larry Fleet, Jamey Johnson, Cody Jinks all pulled together for a beard tour...with Stapleton, of course!
Will have to think twice about taking in another show at the Drummer - great spot for burgers, wings and beers, but pretty rough for a "concert." Acoustics were fine, but it's damn near impossible to see anything in the SRO set up and all the booths. (And had I payed for a booth, then to only be informed they'd all likely be obstructed view, I wouldn't be happy. And BTW...obstructed view means everyone who walks in and can't get close to the stage just stands in front of your booth....).

About Whitey Morgan and the 78's
Whitey Morgan and the 78’s
Whitey Morgan is an American Honky Tonk artist from Flint, Michigan.
In Flint, the factories are closed, jobs are scarce and the people are bitter. Whitey sings songs these people can relate to. In much the same way his grandfather and mentor did over 3 decades ago, to a whole generation of southern transplants who came up US-23 to Flint looking for the good life. In the spirit of William Morgan, Waylon, Merle and Paycheck; Whitey’s melodies help people forget their problems for a few hours and serve as the guideline for drinking sorrows away.
Emerging from the Detroit area music scene, Whitey relentlessly tours the country spreading his sound and attitude everywhere he goes. He play's honky tonk tunes in any club in any town without apology—he and his band mates drive their point home just like their families drove the cars they built on the line home from work. With a purpose.
Ripping 200+ shows a year, you can count on Whitey Morgan to deliver and then some. "If I could, I'd play everyday all day. Maybe at some point, I'll be so lucky to have such an option." If you asked his feverishly loyal audience, they'd firm agree with him. "My fans are nothing short of amazing. They come back time and time again and each time they bring more & more people. That's as good as it gets in my book."
and more, but at this point you are tired of reading this shit.
