About Jack Ellister
Jack Ellister is one of those rarefied sore thumbs sitting on the
outer edges of the great psychedelic
cosmos crafting wired and weird kaleidoscopic oddyties and enjoying
the occasional airplay on your local, or not so local specialty show.
After a positive welcome of last years Lichtpyramide album
the second installment in the series of loops and short
musical experiments recorded to tape at Jack’s home studio
in South East London, will be available this autumn.
While keeping traditional songwriting at bay he implements
free form eclecticism and instant composing to bridge acid folk and electronic sounds.
An array of synthesizers, guitars, percussion and effect boxes,
arranged around a loop station are his main tools for providing
ambient textures, repetitive motives, evolving patterns and
spacey melodies. The voice overs on top of the music are in German, Polish and English.
‘impressively bizarre’ (Record Collector)
‘Wonderfully weird.’ (Shindig!)
‘Essential.’ (Sunday Experience)
Superbly zonked out sonic journeys for al!. (Terrascope)
Poetically Psychedelic. (Rockzilla, Italy)
