Romanza

Romanza - a classical crossover duo.
Evolving from their friendship and mutual love of music, the duo Romanza was created.
After completing their studies, Maria Carfora at the consertaorium of Perugia, and Kylee Kate Sargant at the University of Sydney, Australia, they begin their artistic careers with much success. Kylee Kate is scouted by an Italian record label and signs her first recording contract, whilst Maria begins her opera career, making her debut as Musetta in La Boheme which also is recorded for the national television channel Rai 5.
They both also individually represent Italy several times before meeting, with highlights such as Kylee Kate performing for the Beijing Olympics and Maria for the World Cup in Brazil.
Diverse artistic paths maybe, however ones that parallel and bring the singers paths to cross and discover a mutual artistic and musical connection. Their desire to unite their musical experiences and to translate them into their own inner artistic world lead to a wonderful and satisfying collaboration. After a series of concerts in Italy and abroad, they begin to work on a record project that sees the elaboration of the classical style, of some of the most famous and beloved pieces of international musical repertoire, and some original works by the same artists.

Dall'amicizia e l'amore per la musica nasce il duo Romanza.
Dopo aver completato gli studi, Maria Carfora al Conservatorio di Perugia in Italia, Kylee Kate Sargant all'Università di Sydney in Australia iniziano un percorso artistico che le porterà a riscuotere successi giovanissime.
Kylee Kate viene notata dal l'etichetta discografica italiana "Radio Italia" e firma il suo primo contratto discografico ;
Maria inizia la sua carriera nel mondo della lirica ,canterà anche una Boheme nel ruolo di Musetta che viene trasmessa su Sky arte e Rai 5.
Kylee Kate canta alle Olimpiadi di Beijing e Maria accompagna la Nazionale italiana di calcio cantando ai mondiali in Brasile.
Percorsi artistici diversi, ma paralleli che porteranno le cantanti a conoscersi e scoprire di avere una forte intesa artistica e musicale.
L'esigenza comune di unire le proprie esperienze musicali e di poter tradurre in musica il proprio mondo artistico interiore le porta ad una grande collaborazione.
Dopo una serie di concerti in Italia e all'estero, stanno, infatti, lavorando ad un progetto discografico comune che vede la rielaborazione, in chiave classica , di alcuni pezzi più famosi ed amati del repertorio musicale internazionale e di alcuni inediti scritti dalle stesse artiste.
Romanza, due culture , due voci che si fondono in un'anima sola.
