HOMES play and write utilising a unique pastiche of styles. From So-Cal harmonies, 1970's northern soul arrangements, hymnal chord progressions and the use of modern life, story form conjecture, all make up the melting pot of the bands sound! Formed in June 2014 in Cardiff, HOMES was formulated with the intention of creating a sound that could be an accessible backlash to the saturated middle of the road Pop that adorns the airwaves of today! HOMES is disguised in a cloak of 60s and 70s richness, but with its pulse firmly in the here and now. Its aim is to simply write and perform good, honest, heartfelt, songs! HOMES are Dylan, Steff, Ollie and Alec who are currently putting the finishing touches to their entirely self produced new single 'Float Like an Animal'. It is to be released May 2015 and will be run in concurrence with an ongoing 'making of' series documenting the creation of the bands single and band life, with a music video to boot. music
