mia moth is the explosive singer Kara Fraser and the music maker Allan Rodger. Kara has recorded many of her tracks on the first take, which are full of charged emotions.The band produced their first album on 11.11.11 only a few months after they met at an open-mic in Vancouver, Canada. 11.11.11 was recorded at the band's studio called Crosstown, also in Vancouver, Canada. Mia Moth’s fans and the press say it’s a little like No Doubt, Nina Hagen, & Lena Lovich. Like a moth to a flame, shy and quiet Kara Fraser, when placed in front of lights, emerges from her cocoon as Mia Moth and flutters about on stage with a burst of energy Whether there are 20 or 2000 people in the audience, her energy somehow remains the same from start to finish. She wins over fans everywhere off of her magnetizing stage presence. Not much is known about this mysterious troupe other than their shows are an energetic smorgasbord of circus-like antics and gypsy-esque imagery.
