Introducing Down Dirty Shake – a dynamic rock and roll powerhouse hailing from the vibrant heart of San Francisco. The inception of the band traces back to a serendipitous connection forged by AJ Ayez (vocals, keys), Kyle DeMartini (guitar, vocals), and Aaron Grimes (drums, vocals) during their high school years in Merced, CA. As they embarked on their musical journey together, the passing years saw their individual talents coalesce, and their artistic vision mature in tandem. Rooted in their initial passion for '60s blues and psychedelic music, they fearlessly began infusing Motown grooves, global rhythms, Krautrock vibes, and other eclectic influences into their sonic tapestry.

From modest origins, Down Dirty Shake has firmly entrenched themselves within the vibrant tapestry of the Bay Area's music scene. Their annual residency in the iconic Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco has become a cornerstone of their local presence, while their electrifying performances have graced prestigious stages and festivals both within the city limits and across Sonoma County. The group's lineup was solidified with the arrival of Tommy Anderson (bass), marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter as they embarked on the creation of their inaugural full-length album.
