About Megan Lucky

Megan grew up in Manhattan – Montana that is. She was raised on a horse ranch with her older sister. Her singing career started early, when she approached the stage at a family reunion at 4 years old and sang “opera.” She remembers her parents’ requests to sing opera from that day forward for family and friends. Megan quickly became the in-house entertainer. When her older sister went to school, Megan was left to entertain herself and began writing her own songs. She studied piano and began singing in church, eventually auditioning for her high school pop choir. Later on, her claim to fame would be singing the National Anthem for football and basketball games for neighboring high schools and Montana State University. The singing bug never left, even though she was ultimately rejected by Nashville Star and American Idol, even after a call back. She continued to sing at parties, weddings, and a few funerals. Megan lives in Dallas, is the mother of two young boys, and is married to a published author and motivational speaker. She is a self-proclaimed fitness, food, and fashion fanatic. She dreams of having a fashion line, including fitness apparel and maternity wear. It was through the process of a mastermind retreat in the Caribbean that she finally decided to follow her dream of becoming a songwriter and recording artist. Even though she would have to overcome a whole new crop of fears, being a mom over 30, she knew she wouldn’t be able to truly enjoy life until she fulfilled her heart’s desire. Fast forward to present day, Megan is scheduled to release her second single this fall, and her debut EP in December of 2014. Megan had her hand in every song on the album! “I wanted to put something out there that was completely, and vulnerably, me! I just want to inspire and entertain people, so they understand it’s never too late to shoot for the moon!” Her music displays a large range of genres, from the harmonious and fluid “Save A Little Love,” to the fast paced, bluegrass feel of “Cupid,” and the power ballad, , “Let Me Be Me.” Megan has a handful of live performances under her belt with her 9-piece band and is prepping for her first major headlining concert in Dallas this winter. She plans on applying for South by Southwest next year and even considering a ten- to twelve-city tour in 2016. She continues to write new songs, while finishing recording her full album, to be released next spring. “No matter where your journey has taken you, I hope my music finds you exactly where you’re at, and lends you just the hand you’re looking for!” Megan Lucky is an up and coming Pop Country Soul singer/songwriter.
