May your roots grow down deep into the soil of God‘s marvelous love.” Ephesians 3:16-17 NLT …It is this scripture that captures the heart and ministry of Brightnie Jones, an anointed singer/songwriter. The sole purpose of her sound and music are to usher audiences into the presence of God. Brightnie was groomed for ministry from a young age and began her journey as a soloist, worship team member, and worship leader at Fortress Bible Church in Mt. Vernon NY. What began in her church choir at a young age blossomed and eventually opened up the door for opportunities to share her gift around the world. Brightnie’s professional experience began in 2005 with The East Coast Inspirational Singers, an ensemble group that has performed with Josh Groban, Alicia Keys, Cherice, and many others. While in college, she toured with the Nyack College New York City Chorale as a soloist in the United States, Italy and South Korea. She has also toured with The Gospel People, an American Gospel group, in several countries including Germany, Russia, and Hong Kong. Although Gospel is Brightnie's first love, she is classically trained and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from Nyack College School of Music in New York City and a Masters in vocal performance from the Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music. As a soloist, Brightnie’s debut album, "It's Time/Get Ready" was released September 25th, 2009 at the Riverside Church Theater in Harlem, NY. Her musical influences include, CeCe Winans, Yolanda Adams, and Mary Mary. Through music that comes from a worshipper’s heart, Brightnie remains committed to bringing glory to God and encouragement to all who hear her.
