Chris Basden

Chris Basden's music, self-described as “songs for people who like today’s country, but liked ‘90s country more,” runs the gamut from soft spoken and vulnerable to raucous and bonfire-ready. His influences are many, but at his core is a love for everything country.

Born amidst the mountains of Alaska, Chris spent much of his childhood moving back and forth across the United States with his family from one military base to another. Frequent moves were a detriment to his social life but during this time he discovered his passion for music, finding comfort experimenting with simple melodies on his grandmother's old upright piano. By the age of twelve, he was writing his own lyrics—a few years after that, he could be found playing those songs to anyone who would listen.

Over the past few years, Chris has been writing and demoing feverishly in preparation to record an album. He can often be found playing his songs and others in bars and on the internet.
