Michael Kaneko

A Japanese singer-songwriter born in Shonan, Japan and raised in Southern California.

Prior to his debut, he was chosen as a vocalist for TV commercials for TOYOTA and Panasonic, which have resulted in numerous inquiries for his whispery yet silky voice with a strong core that became a topic of discussion amongst music fans.
After making his debut with "Westbound EP," he garnered attention for his excellent songwriting and overwhelming performance, and has since produced music for artists such as Naotaro Moriyama, aimyon, and CHEMISTRY.

Michael Kaneko has also participated in live performances and recordings for artists such as Ohashi Trio and Hanaregumi, and has produced music for commercials, movies, and animes such as “Megalobox”, CITROËN, NISSAN, Daihatsu, BACARDÍ, SHARP, IKEA, FREAK'S STORE, Amazon, J-WAVE, Shiseido, Yakult, and more. As a collaboration project, he released an album titled "The Neighborhood" featuring Hanaregumi, Ohashi Trio, Yusuke Sakai, Sakurako Fujiwara, and Sarasa. Other production projects include work with Naotaro Moriyama, Aimyon, Eito, CHEMISTRY, Rude-α, majiko, s**t kingz, Kana Adachi, Miyuu, and others.

In 2023, Michael Kaneko embarked on a JAPAN & ASIA TOUR, captivating audiences across Japan and various Asian countries. At the Maho Rasop festival in Thailand, his performance enthralled over 5000 people. Michael Kaneko's previous hit, 'Strangers In The Night,' secured the 8th position on the music chart of Japan's most influential radio station and found its way into approximately 10,000 social media videos. His latest track ‘maybe' is an alternative ballad and this is a story about encountering a special person who profoundly influences one's life.
