Starting off producing electronic music in 2007, Modek has come a long way. Heavily inspired by the hard hitting electro of those days (Ed Banger, BNR, …), he started producing his own music that soon got picked up by fans and DJs across the globe. Inspired by many different genres and allergic to copycats, Modek is always searching for that fresh beat and loves to push out tracks that merge elements from different genres into that signature sound he has claimed over the years. This sound has attracted the attention of many big names in the scene, resulting in remixes for respected artists. The most recent remixes being the one for Zombie Nation's latest album on Turbo Recordings and his remix for Etienne de Crécy. In January 2012, Modek released his first EP "Willow/Dust" on Lektroluv Records, which took the electro charts by storm. Since then, 4 more EPs got put out by the highly acclaimed electro label. The latest release being the widely supported "Haunt EP", following up on the huge "Up With Me" package that includes remixes by top guns like Shinichi Osawa, Don Rimini, John Roman and autoKratz. Today, Modek is getting massive support from Moby, Calvin Harris, Fatboy Slim, Tiga, Porter Robinson, Zombie Nation, Proxy, Digitalism, Felix Cartal, D.I.M., Don Rimini, … and the list goes on and on. http://soundcloud.com/modek
