About Coversa

Based in Central Jersey, the newly formed band Coversa has been turning heads with a different spin on rock music. A 'shared diversity' between members of completely different musical backgrounds yields a new, unique genre that fans say "you think you've heard but at the same time never came across." In 2013, when the band was formed, they were off to a strong start with a debut performance live on air at the well-known Rutgers University Radio Station. Opening for touring bands like O'Brother (Triple Crown Records) and playing at college basement parties helped pave a smooth road for Coversa. The band released their Debut EP "Identity" on June 13th 2014 under Star Crossed Artist Group and have been playing at local clubs and venues in support of the EP. TheMusicNewsSite.com reviewed the EP and said "Continuing through the album, the good songs just keep on coming....Full on more or less immediately from the off, it’s energetic, rocking, but melodic and varied in tempo and style. Which pretty much sums up our feeling perfectly on the whole thing." In June 2014, they impressed with a special set at the world famous Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. The band members surprisingly switched instruments for one song and left the crowd wanting more after they played their EP live, in full. After the show, house promoter and booking agent Kyle Brendle stated, "Great music, great draw, great guys... We can't wait to have them back!" As of today, Coversa is out on the road playing shows to support their debut EP. They had a highly positive response after playing the 11th annual Maplewoodstock in Maplewood, NJ, which garners a crowd of close to 3000 people every year. The boys were asked to reapply next year for the attention drawn.
