About Edenfall

Edenfall are a folk horror metal band hailing from the Cotswolds, England. Their music weaves tales influenced by Anglo-Saxon folklore, witchcraft and nature.

Founded in the winter of 2009 by Rob George and Clare Webster, the duo released their first album, 'Forever Fallen' in the autumn of 2011. Following the album's esteemed reception, the band eventually took to the stage in 2013 with new additions, Sean Brazil and Marcelo Teixiera. Over the years, the band have supported the likes of Leaves Eyes, Mortiis and Antimatter and have performed at prestigious events such as the Whitby Gothic Weekend and Dames of Darkness. With Ghost Cult Magazine having described the band's live appearance as 'the constant build up to one hell of a storm', it is certain that Edenfall had begun to purge the threshold with their mournful message.

In 2014, the band secured a deal with Ravenheart Music and saw the release of their second album, 'Under Sultry Moons and Velvet Skies' in the Spring. Described as '"dark, eerie, and indeed sultry" by The Moshville Times, their sophomore album received glowing reviews from the press, including Sonic Cathedral (9/10) and Metal Temple (8/10). Their growing reputation following the release of this album led them to completing their first UK Tour with Belgian progressive black metallers, Thurisaz, towards the close of 2015.

After a long hiatus, the band returned in 2023 with their third studio album ‘To Gaze Longer at the Earth’ which was mixed and mastered by Mike Lamb (Sojourner) and also features guest vocals from Aaron Stainthorpe (My Dying Bride). So far, this opus of witchcraft and wilderness has been subject to high acclaim from the press and was even listed in Heavy DeBriefing’s Top 10 Album’s of July!

“The textural aura surrounding the album is colossal, multifaceted song writing being linked with emotive extremity that in some sense has similarities to very early Cradle of Filth, due to the way the songs have a poetic poignancy set within a dense almost cinematic poise.” - Powerplay Magazine, 8/10 [Issue 266]

“No stone has been left unturned in the pursuit of perfection here and that dedication to their craft has yielded jaw dropping results.” - MetalNoise.net, 9/10.

“Beautiful. It’s been a long journey but the treasure unearthed in these woods is worth it.” - Ave Noctum, 8.5/10.
