KOOLKID

Hailing from Glasgow, KOOLKID was surrounded by live music from a young age. Since the age of 15, he has been building his musical identity with constant songwriting efforts, as well as cutting his teeth with live performances up and down the UK.

An accomplished songwriter, KOOLKID has penned tracks for some prominent pop acts, including K-Pop icons BTS. The Scotsman co-wrote ‘Mikrokosmos’ and ‘Inner Child’ from the group’s chart-topping EP’s ‘Map of the Soul: Persona’ and ‘7’ respectively. The relationship between KOOLKID and BTS looks set to continue with future releases in the pipeline.

The Scottish singer-songwriter has been producing soaring, modern pop ballads of his own which flaunt KOOLKID’s emotion-drenched vocals with engrossing, forward-thinking production. His debut ‘2 SOON’ was released in January 2020, a cleverly crafted introduction to the Scotsman’s sound and vocal ability which was followed by ‘Feelings’, cementing his status as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging pop artists.

KOOLKID has delivered an array of music throughout 2020 including his recent collaborations with legendary electronic producer Doctor P on drum and bass infused track ‘OD’ (Circus Records) and ‘I Want Your Body’ with emerging multi-genre producer Dark Heart (Spinnin Records).

His most recent release ‘Only You Now’ features electronic undertones and indie riffs, forming KOOLKIDs signature sound. The release coincided with the announcement of a headline UK tour which will see KOOLKID take his immersive live show on the road for 4 shows across the country.
