About Outlaws&Moonshine

Outlaws & Moonshine, based out of Indianapolis, Indiana, delivers a powerful brand of whiskey-soaked Southern rock.
The band formed in 2015 by brothers Beau Van (guitar/vocals) and Chris Van (bass). The chemistry of their sound was fully formed with the addition of Mike Back on guitar and Eric Piper on drums. Equally inspired by classic Southern rock bands including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, and the Allman Brothers, the band quickly took the scene by storm. Their debut, “1919,” gained global attention from thousands of fans. The band received a great deal of national press and has shared the stage or provided direct support to Jackyl, Colt Ford, David Allan Coe, Kentucky Headhunters, Drowning Pool, Smile, Empty Soul, Moonshine Bandits, Saving Abel, Saliva, Bret Michaels, and Wayland. Since the early years, the band has evolved with the addition of seasoned guitarist Ritchie Wilkison and hard-hitting drummer Joseph Larsen. The band was featured on the cover of ION Magazine and earned great reviews from top Rock Media/News webzines. The band’s debut videos, “Whiskey” and “Hey Y’All,” garnered over 100k views.
"1919" and "Devil in the Moonshine" was mixed by producer Vic Rivera at Red V Studios in New York. Their music comes at you with an Outlaw cowboy attitude, delivering infectious choruses, energy, and raw talent. “Devil in the Moonshine” is a balance of the classic old school rock that made American music famous in the 70’s and the melodic, guitar-filled country rock of today. Following the success of both "1919" and "Devil in the Moonshine", the group is focused on putting their final touches on their latest project, produced by Dalton VanVolkenburg, to be released in Fall 2021.
Outlaws & Moonshine get back to the basics of having a good time with their brand of music, dubbing it as “New Southern Rock.” What separates Outlaws & Moonshine from the pool of current trends is their ability to stay true to their craft, themselves, and their musical roots.
