About The Stereo Type
Formed in the withering fires of an Orlando barbecue house party in the spring of 2013, The Stereo Type brings together influences of funk, New Orleans, reggae, pop, soul, and jamtastic rock to make some aural gumbo that is both nourishing and tasty. The Stereo Type is one unit, five pieces, one soul. Jason "Space" Goughnour, Anthony Diaz, Jason Rogers, Eric Ruck and Nick Landess have collectively played in well over a thousand bands. They have performed for presidents and kings, Popes, a few courtesans, and, on two memorable occasions, Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter. Veterans of such outfits as The Burnin Smyrnans, Raisinhead, Braided Funk, and Endozone, The Stereo Type are determined to bring out the fun in funk. FunkFolkRockJam
