ALEXA RANKIN

I grew up in Birmingham AL, and always loved music ever since i can remember. I started playing guitar when I was 13. Growing up, I always watched my dad play and wished I could too. He ended up teaching me what I know. I think he really played a big part in getting me into music. I remember being so little riding in the backseat of the car while he would have music blaring, or watching him play at church on Sunday mornings. My mom, dad and whole family have always supported my love for music. I started out by singing in the church we went to (Grace and Truth) from the time i was about 6 years old. And from then on, I knew this was what I was supposed to do.

When I was about 14 years old I started writing songs. And for the next two years I kept it up and recorded some demos, played out in some really awesome places and met some pretty awesome people. By the time I was 16 I had a band called Alexa Rankin Band and continued playing out and just had a lot of fun. (you can find it on iTunes)

I love playing music so much. I can't imagine myself doing anything else in life.
