William Hinson and his band were tight and full of energy. His songs (generally performed acoustically) had a different vibe and integrated unique dynamics for the live performance. The Flat Iron was a great venue and the sound perfect.

His principle-inspired sounds come from many moons before him, showcasing his unique ability to transcend eras with his knack for mélange, from his bossa nova offering “George Harrison” (a pastiche of “And I Love Her” by The Beatles) to his 50’s Doo-Wop song “I Can’t Think For Myself.” In 2021, Hinson toured with singer/songwriter Jordy Searcy on the East coast leg of his North American tour, where he played sold-out shows and performed his latest body of work, Fall 2020’s Everything Will Be Okay. Hinson was recently invited to open for The Brook & The Bluff in June.
