Jack White

Such a fun show! I had been wanting to see him for so long! I love all his earlier work and a fan from the beginning and it took until now to finally get to see him. I love that it was a small venue. The set was very simple but worked perfectly to allow you to truly focus on him and the music and not a bunch of nonsense signs or backgrounds or props. My only wish is that he would have played more of his earlier work too but I know he can’t play it all in one night.

Treat for my kid who is a huge fan. I had a vague worry Jack White would be a bit of an artist about things but I was totally wrong. He thrashed out a solid 90 minutes of crowd pleasers, hits from throughout his career. Jack White has been strumming out his own brand of bluesy rock before he had an audience and I think he'll still be doing this long after the world stops caring about the possibilities for noise enabled by Leo Fender designs. Not one I would have gone to ordinarily but everyone left grinning. Support band Black Mekon were wonderful, great humour and really won over the crowd, tricky in a larger venue supporting a big name artist. 5/5 for the artists but burn the venue down with the security bullies inside. nicoboycedøtcøm

First time seeing Jack White. 6 new songs played from “No Name” - AMAZING! The rest of the show was a non-stop rock-n-roll clinic spanning his entire career. Barely any time between songs. No banter, just on to the next song. Whatever Jack feels like playing he just calls it out to the band and they go. I love that spontaneity. So rare for concerts these days. I’ve never seen such a fast-paced show. It went by SO FAST! This concert exceeded all my (very high) expectations. Jack is obviously a pro, but his band and the crew are all top notch. The crew even have uniforms, and it’s a good thing. You can tell by the end product that everyone is ALL IN. Final note, Roadrunner is a fantastic venue.

Jack and the boys tore the house down from start to finish. The crowd was hot but I wish he'd still play in Manhattan as it's just a better class of people living there. This group had people leaving early because the show was as varied across his whole career (mostly people wanting more White Stripes) I met people from all over the place outside of Brooklyn and like every other show of his I've seen, they were all great to hang out with away from the show. A bunch of us happened to walk into a local bar all within 10 minutes of each other since we all got there early to be safe considering the difficulties in getting directly to places in Brooklyn if your not from there. We all just hung out, grabbed some food and drinks and had a b******t session. Same thing with those of us who got on line early. It was only the locals who, while mostly enthusiastic about the show--at least the closer to the stage you got--who were rude, pushy and were in such a rush to GTFO after, they were practically trampling anyone who was disabled. Wheel chair, cane, casts and more were simply seen as objects in the way to be shoved and bumped around. The venue was the nicest one I've seen in Brooklyn, the staff is well trained and extremely courteous. The only problem with King's Theatre is the lack of any local parking lots but it was the same the other times I've made the trek to Brooklyn. That's another advantage to Manhattan. There's parking everywhere. I think my favorite part of the show was the killer extended version of Black Math. I also loved hearing High Ball Stepper live again. Of course seeing Patrick Keeler go off during Broken Boy Soldier was a treat. I am glad the band didn't have to "Turn the Page" and travel tonight considering how Mother Nature decided to stop by and give us all a passing wave. Thank you for another great night "Johnny Guitar".

Flawless Beautiful Raw Talent. Hands down the best concert I've ever been to. I shared this amazing experience with my dad ( 70 yrs old). We looked at each other during a set and we both teared up because we have a strong bond and jack white plays a big role into it. Even to this day we sit together and watch his interviews and music videos ect. Every night before bed my dad goes into his room and plays the guitar, of course jack white songs. I'm just thankful I will always have memories to cherish and jack is part of them. I pray that jack white comes back to utah atleast 1 more time before my dad passes so we can share that one last experience together again.

Jack White and his band were absolutely amazing at Revolution Hall last night. This is the best sounding room in Portland and Jack took full advantage if it. The volume was loud and the music was heavy and intense throughout the show. The clarity at volume was fantastic. This band is the best Jack White has had. All the players were amazing. They played the new album and a bunch of killer covers including some White Stripes material. The anti scalping tactics employed here are the best I have ever seen. No tickets, just wrist bands after showing the purchasers ID at the door. It made for a bit of a line but they were fast and efficient. Overall, this was probably the best show I have seen all year and I have seen a lot of shows this year. Don't miss the opportunity if you get a chance to see this tour.

Jack White is so raw , so pure. He has made the blues relevant in a new way by infusing his own modern take on it. His show at Toads Place was awesome. He rarely spoke between songs but expressed his gratitude to the crowd at the end. Simply put, he let the music do the talking. He played 1 hour and 45 minutes and performed about 22 songs spanning all his previous bands and solo work. His set had quite a few songs off his new record and many classics. With so many great songs, there is no way you could hear everything you would want to hear, but Jack does not disappoint! Anyone fortunate enough to get tickets and be there will most likely remember this show as one of the top shows they will remember!

What memory? I didn't go. $125/ticket at the Newport. NO ONE has ever charged that much for the Newport. Usual price is at least $50 less because it's across from OSU campus and college students don't have money to spare, especially at the end of Rush Week. I gave it a 3 start because, while I'm positive he put on a great show, that ticket price was insane for the venue and ticket provider. Artists rarely set prices. The message needs to be sent, because it's getting to the point where only the privileged get to go to concerts.

I will travel miles to see Jack White.I saw him at Boston Calling, The king theater Brooklyn and Pittsburg. He is the most talented , versatile and energetic musician there is .I have seen him 3 times and I have always left in awe. I grew up near Memphis where some of the best music has ever been recorded. I have seem about 30 different bands during my lifetime. Thank you Jak for being a performer during my formative years and now that I am 70 years young. Deborah Rhodes ;)

Everything about it was so cool. I got off work late, drove with my brother over the limit from Idaho Falls to catch as much as we can. We showed up when "Cut Like A Buffalo" was playing and saw at least an hour and a half of. I think the rushing, coming across obstacles and pushing through hard with one thing in mind, make it all the more special and "deserving". Jack, I wish to meet you someday. Your mucic, along with your other bands and your choice of musicians you play with strikes a nerve with me. I love blues giutar, and you hit the nail on the head for my ideal flavor. Man, I hope you read this and know I am a dude that we would easily connect. Even a reach out in some way would be most surreal for me. I'm a 39 your old electrician with a wife and three young children from Idaho; one of many fans you have for sure. But I know we are cut from the "same cloth" as you mentioned at your Salt Lake show (following the Seattle show the nigjt before). I know, I know, you hear things like this all the time, and I'm sure some of those fans give you the "coo-coos". Just know, real tuned in connections that both parties benefit from are out there. You know that. Anyway, if you took the time to just say "hey", well, I'll be on this end to say "hey" back.

I would have rated five stars, however, the sound was terrible for The Kills set. At first we couldn’t hear Mosshart’s vocals at all, and then there was an awful blown-speaker quality to the rest of their set. Very sad because what we could hear over the interference was incredible. And the sound problems continued some into Jack White’s set. There was a muddy sound through most of the set. I’ve had this happen at Shoreline before, most notably to Avenged Sevenfold, and it’s disappointing. I loved the show. It was great to be back under the stars, and HURRAY to the venue for stocking Liquid Death water! So great to see them practicing good environmental choices. I just wish the sound would have been better. The DJ was phenomenal and I’m dying to know who he is, where we can follow him, and what the music was he was playing because it was so great! The only downfall to the Yondr phone pouches was that I couldn’t Shazam the music!!!

YouTube theater staff was amazing. Very knowledgeable. The venue was very clean and the process to get in was effortless. I did not like that my bag was just over the limit and I was sent to the locker to store my bag. It was $20 to store. And then I saw other attendees with bags bigger that were getting into the venue. I’ve seen Jack five times now. He was good and the drummer was amazing. But I felt like the last few times I saw him he was more on.

Okay, the venue is great. Excellent sound and lighting... easy process to enter and securing your cell phone in a locked pouch for the entire show. Many people waiting after the show to unlock your cell phone. The show: Natalie Bergman and her band looked and sounded great, but I did not dig them... at all... more rock, less Jesus is my motto. Jack White and his band were incredible. No set list, Jack picks what he wants to play as he goes along, and the band immediately play what he gestures... the band never missed a beat or a note, truly professional. Jack and the Band put on a good show. They conveyed a lot of passion and energy, they weren't just playing notes, they were feeling them and were moved by them.

The show was great. Jack was amazing. He did songs from pretty much all of the bands he’s been in. I would have loved to see Allison too, the only thing that would have made it better is the kills opening more often. I loved the energy he brought to the stage. Will definitely go to more Jack concerts. He’s been my favorite artist since The White Stripes but this was my first chance to catch him in concert and it was everything I hoped. Thank you Jack for a great show and a fun night and congrats on your marriage!

The whole show was incredible. Getting into the venue was a breeze, only took about 5 minutes to get all settled in. The floor was nice and big and I arrived early to get a good view of the whole stage. The line for merch was well organized and moved fast. The sound of the venue was also very good. The opener was nothing to write home about, but Jack was fantastic. He played a reasonable 21 song set, his band was very energetic, and it was an all around good time. The “no phone” policy was also a good call, as everyone was engaged and enjoying the show without the need for a device. Overall the show was fantastic, and I look forward to any future shows at the Credit Union 1 Arena!

What can you say about Jack White! Well he’s a true artist. He knows how to put together a set list that keeps the crowd excited for the entire show. He’s an amazing guitarist. And how crazy is it to have been part of music history watching him propose to his girlfriend on stage and subsequently get married right there on the spot during the encore! And of course you end the show with the most well know riff ever, seven nation army! Like I said, he knows how to create a set list! The opening bands were both fantastic and I will have to keep an eye on them as well.

This was a phone free show, so there are no photos to share. which is fine because I am not a professional photographer anyway. It was actually very enjoyable to not have my device available and taken every note and every beat of the show. It was also nice to not have obstructed view are people's hands and phones in the air. It was a great show and Jack alongside his fellow Raconteurs were amazing. I definitely feel like I walked away with more memories of this show and hope that more artists will move to this format.

Jack White was absolutely on fire for night one of two at Brooklyn's Kings Theatre. With only three shows left in the Boarding House Reach tour, the band was beyond tight. Much has been said about Carla's chops and the musical rapport between her and Jack. It's all true. Having enjoyed five other BHR shows this tour, I was delighted by the new time signatures and arrangements of many Stripes songs. Jack addressed us as "Brooklyn" at least five times, and was clearly stoked to be performing in the freshly restored, lushly gilded Kings Theatre. The pit seemed a bit oversold, and security ignored a guy vaping nonstop. It added up to a raucous show of relentless energy. The amazing set (see setlist.fm) could've only been better if longer. All told, show was about 2:22, and for me probably second only to Jack White's performance at Ommegang Brewery in upstate NY (which was outdoors in light rain). The second night at Kings was very different...

Jack was absolutely subdued night two in Brooklyn (Saturday), especially when compared with Friday's manic performance. We die-hard fans were sad too -- sad to see White's Boarding House Reach tour near its end. The set list (see setlist.fm) and modified arrangements were well received by the sold out Kings Theatre crowd. Long time fans sang heartily while drinking in final sweet sips of an introspectively beautiful Jack White performance. Withdrawal is always tough after a Jack White tour... a sentiment surely shared by Jack's outstanding tour mates. Well worth the trip from Boston.

Jack is so hit or miss now that he's "made it". He puts way more energy into small venues with a focused audience. I needed this after the bad taste Arroyo Seco left in my mouth. Jack was at his best. Having fun and interacting with the crowd. I gave up my SD ticket because I figure it would feel like a letdown after last night. Setlist.fm for some reason chose not to include it but Jack went way back and slipped in a few refrains of "TV Eye" at one point. Awesome set.
