About Omnicore
Originally Omnicore offers, with Der Peaker, a first part of career electro and influenced by the electro-dark scene of second half of the years 1990: Velvet Acid Christ, :: Wumpscut::, Calva y Nada or Feindflug, the label Cold Meat Industry (In Slaughter Native) and rhythmic of the label Ant-Zen (Imminent, Noisex, Synapscape). The second part takes a turning resolutely symphonic and martial, under the influence of Nebel, and more experimental, under that of Cypher, and the influences of In Slaughter Natives, Der Blutharsch, Death in June, Darkwood, Ordo Equilibrio and The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath a Cloud, crossed with Hans Werner Henze and Igor Stravinski weighs on the composition of the album which made, to date, the notoriety of Omnicore : Mass Murderer “Cold”, “dark” and “disillusioned” are the qualifiers which can indicate the music of Omnicore. Founded by Anthony Monteil in 1999, starting from several experiments going back to 1990. The war, the suffering, the destruction of the Environment, the endoctrination of the spirits and the madness constitute the main themes developed by Omnicore. This formation posts a Antifascism assumed which is worth to him some enmities in a scene marked for some of its representatives by a certain political ambiguity. Anthony Monteil belongs or belonged to a great number of French musical projects: - founder in 1999 and leader of the Gothic formation /rock/wave Evil Flowers - percussionnist in Mlada Fronta very briefly in 2005 - drums in Wired Brain in 2004 - sound engineer for International, Thanacid, Streeturchin - various participations at Kabbal Karma and T.S.T. (musical projects of Regis Blanc) - solo projects: Vassalfada, undue money technoïde whose title is in the compilation Q/F/G left in 2004 on the Parametric label and E.L.P., trance/goa He leads since 1998 Lyons association Paranoid (ex-Peak Level System). He's also sound composer at SIMBIN since 2006, a swedish video game company Participants - Manon (2000 - 2002) with the song and the writing of certain words of the album Der Peaker . Old friend of Anthony and diva iconoclast, it tacitly leaves the formation with a turning of her personal life. - Nebel (2002 - 2003) with the song, the keyboards and the writing of certain words (“Accessory”, “cadaveric deteriorations”, “Stahlnebel”, “Haste, Revenge, Power & Blood”, “Triumph off death” and “Strong new world”) and with the composition of arrangements of the album Farmhouse Murderer . She meets Anthony in 1997 and organizes of 1999 to 2003 of the evenings of which in particular "L'Âme résistante on Lyon. She reaches a short moment Evil Flowers as a bass player of at the end of 1999 into at the beginning of 2000. She joined the formation at the beginning of 2002 for the composition of Mass Murderer then leaves it at the time of the first concert of this album because of divergences with the other members. From now on resident Switzerland, she organizes there the evenings and festivals “Sonorités Obscures”, association which it cofondée in 2003. She mixes as DJ in evenings undue money/neofolk in Switzerland and is also devoted to photography. - Cypher (2000 - 2005) with low, the song and the writing of certain words of Mass Murderer (“Redemption/Sedition” and “Reward The Guilty”). From classical formation, met at the end of 1999, he sympathizes with Anthony and, together, organizes a series of 9 evenings and concerts electro/goth/undue on Lyon in various places and takes part in the emergence of the federation of the scene underground Frenchwoman by inviting DJ (Darkt56, Kam 100' S, Mythra, CB-12, Dr.Body) and artists of reputation (Imminent, Coal Stones, Noisex, Skoyz, Wired Brain, Burning Gates, HIV+) and while concluding from the partnerships with labels (Ombre Sonore, Darkside, Euterpe ) and of the magazines (D-Side, Elegy). They also receive the support of the Grenoble-native dressmaker Hors-Norm. Cypher becomes at the end of 2000 second member of Omnicore at the time of the exit of Der Peaker at the Citadel, on which is reproduced one title including one of its base lines (“Make has Choice”). Cypher is, since 2006, member of the neo-classic collective/darkfolk TAT and posed a base line on the title " Mon Rêve est un Chêne Creux" ; free downloadable album '' Quinta Essentia ''. The second album, the Sperm Of All Metals , leaves in September 2007 on the Genevese label Urgence Disk Records, and one finds a new participation of Cypher there on the title " Thalidomide: Absolution". He appears on scene with each concert, and a new project called Sangdragon. He mixes moreover episodically as DJ in a few evenings electro/goth/undue in France and Belgium. Discography produced and pressed Albums: Der Peaker , La Citadelle, 2001, 900 specimens out of case crystal and 300 in Digipak. Anecdote: the 300 Digipaks present a defect: the supposed slit to support the booklet was perforated in top instead of in bottom, with the result that the booklet with the annoying tendency to escape from the opening from Digipak Mass Murderer, Divine Comedy Records, 2004, two consecutive pressings of 500 specimens case crystal. Jacket “art nouveau” and S/M carried out by Lucas Attic (graphic designer then member of Peak System Level). Anecdote: a vinyl pressing 33 turns Picture-disc with 100 specimens had been during a time under consideration by Divine Comedy thanks to a mysterious avid patron of exclusive objects of collection Demonstrations CD-R : Der Peaker, own-produced, 2000. It corresponds to its version pressed with some exceptions near: the jacket, which reproduces the head of a dog seen of top: the Manga bitch which belonged to Alexandra Grenier, then singer of Evil Flowers and auteure of the graphics of this layout, the title “Decapitated Aphrodisis”, “La Menace” (very ambient title which opened the concerts of the period 2001-2002) and mix them different from “Serial Believer” do not appear in it, In the place one finds there three titles live amalgamated in only one track, recorded in December 1999 with the room of association D/K/P, one approximately twenty minutes duration, name " electrodigitalpeakindustry". Serial Believer , own-produced EP including/understanding the three versions of the title headlight of Der Peaker , which will be included in its pressed version, a piece present in this same version but absent from the demonstration, “Decapitated Aphrodisis” and the remix of the title “Armageddon” of HIV+ Mass Murderer , demonstration intended for the prospection of the labels during the autumn 2003, containing the whole of the titles of the final version, but of which three are then still with the state of outline. The packaging selected is composed of a small pocket way 45 turns, out of maroon paper Canson, Gothic and photo typography of Hitlerjugends (influenced by the esthetics of Joy Division), and of a partially buried self-adhesive label representing Hairy war 1914-1918 (influenced by the esthetics of Les Joyaux de la Princesse). Distributed to less than one ten specimens, this demonstration will however be found largely diffused on the networks of division Peer-to-Peer a few days only after its forwarding.
