About Peejmudd

peejmudd is the solo project of Chico, CA-based musician and composer Philip Patton. Blending elements of post-rock, cinematic rock, ambient, and neo-classical, peejmudd crafts immersive, melodic instrumentals that evoke emotion and introspection. Drawing inspiration from artists like Olafur Arnalds, The Album Leaf, and M83, his music balances atmospheric textures with intricate melodies and dynamic arrangements.

peejmudd’s latest album, fight to keep from sinking (March 14, 2025), is a deeply personal and cinematic journey through struggle, resilience, and reflection. The album’s lead single, “this day is ours” (January 24, 2025), features fellow post-rock artist They Danced Like Programmed Angels and has already gained playlist placements and blog coverage.

With a discography spanning 12 releases, including the well-received 2021 album when you find my body, call me by my name, peejmudd has been featured on playlists, indie music blogs, and even briefly charted on the iTunes Classical chart in Spain with his track “two years later” in 2024. His music has been described as "hauntingly beautiful and cinematic" (Distopic.it) and "a rich soundscape that tells a story without words" (WorldHasPostRock).

For fans of Mogwai, Lights & Motion, and Hammock, peejmudd continues to push the boundaries of instrumental music, creating soundtracks for the mind’s eye.
