There are artists who are spreading. Others more discreet who are avaricious of their words, Hermès Karel is one of those. It is his music that speaks for him, it is with his music that Hermès tells himself when he prefers to remain obstinately mute. Mysterious. "It is only in music that I wish to unveil myself". It is not coquetry from the artist, however elegant, only modesty while he does not know how to undress himself. Dandy of the modern times, Hermès Karel drags with a seductive nonchalance a sporty chic look and an imposing afrostyle that seems to have been burned by the sun. All the stories, all the tales, begin by a founding myth. There was once a strangeness, a little boy who did not know how to walk or talk but who already sang. The music was in him. This is what his mother revealed ...The legend is on the march in the innocence of childhood. At six Hermes Karel becomes a member of a choir and is barely nine years old when he composes his first songs without knowing how to read a musical note. Composition as an obsession, a fatality to which he can not escape even on the benches of the school. Composing to exist, to create, to write again and again !! Only this food manages to satisfy him. "To escape into my inner world, to be in my bubble, is up to this day, the most savory sensations and indispensable to my life". It is listening to the greatest artists of Rythm and blues and Jazz like Barry White and his voice, coming out from the belly of the earth that Hermes Karel sharpens his appetite for beautiful harmonies. "Of course, I have permeated the entire repertoire of the greatest of the music, but it is especially Barry White, who has given me taste for musical relief, subtlety and musical arrangements. I was impressed by his ability to create a magical musical atmosphere in total harmony with his unique voice in the world! ". Hermès Karel is a juggler, moving from soul to pop and jazz. His crystalline voice allows him all daring. No frontier can resist it. He sings both in French and English and probably in Czech language soon. In her writing, in her compositions Hermes Karel flees the mire, the syrupy words that stick to the teeth and fingers. He invites his audience to open their eyes to the essential, to privilege being more than appearing, wishing through his songs and interpretations, to touch the hearts. Hermes Karel modestly wants to be a "courier of perseverance and love, willing to contribute to a better world. "The only real language, whatever the way in which I express myself and wherever it is in the world, is that of love ..." An exciting and passionate life course that has been marvelously pursued in Prague since that he has been making comings and goings since October 2016, which culminated, among other things, in the fruitful encounter with the great Jan Karez (one of the most talented conductor of Karel Gott himself). “ l felt so perfectly welcomed here in Prague each time that I went to sing here, that I decided to live there very soon ... "
