Matthew Grant

Born and raised in Kansas City, KS; Matthew Grant began singing and playing piano in his church and school choir at the age of 12.

Feeling most comfortable when on the stage, he earnestly sought out every chance to hone his craft and share his songs

Whether in front of ten or 10,000 people in the audience, Matthew Grant seized every opportunity to perform.

Matthew was discovered by music manager Chris Woods during a Thanksgiving performance at the Gallo Theatre in Modesto, Northern California and the two immediately began working together. Since then the two have been hard at work developing his sound and working on his debut project.

"Music is my everything" says Grant who prides himself on adding songwriting to his list of talents by the age of 19.

Inspired by music legends Nina Simone, James Brown, Ella Fitzgerald, Bill Whithers, Duke Ellington and Billie Holiday as well as modern marvels such as John Mayer, Mayor Hawthorne, Adele and Snarky Puppy; Matthew infuses elements of jazz, soul, rhythm and blues with traces of his gospel roots and heartfelt journaling to create music from his soul for the world to relate to.
