Alice Cooper and band were fantastic, the sound was great, the theatrics perfect, worth the wait, excellent show! I wish it had been longer.
The crowd were extremely well behaved all day with plenty of space to escape to when being surrounded becomes overwhelming. The long day and lead up were a little draining and negative media before the concert and misinformation was disappointing.
The venue was easy to access but with the stage being up hill those who were shorter struggled to see past taller patrons, fortunately there were live screens either side of the stage.
Some more picnic tables/seats would have been nice towards the back of the venue (there were plenty just on the other side of the fencing) for those needing a break between acts. The weather turned very cold as night rolled in and an option to buy a hot drink would have been appreciated as not all people want to drink alcohol all day.
Great day and worth it, I would go again!

Hobart Arena is a great place to see a show. Parking is a little wacky (parking in the park across the street) but once at the venue it is easy in and easy out. All the staff were super friendly. The seats were comfy while we waited for it to start. The sound was excellent as well, although at times the guitars seemed to be turned down a bit.
Alice was Alice. Always a great show. He played for about an hour and 40 minutes. Yes he had the snake. Yes he had the guillotine. Yes he wore top hats and played with the props...lol. Always an entertaining show, but then again I am biased as I have loved Alice Cooper for over 45 years. Alice Cooper 2024!

Excellent show. Seemed like a greatest hits show - and there were plenty of them. The supporting band is excellent - seamless. Clearly have been together for a while.
Honestly - I saw Alice Cooper last year for the first time. Just never was anything I thought I would want to go see - until I actually did go. And I will go every opportunity I have now. Seriously - it’s a great show. He does not disappoint. I missed the huge baby prop used during Billion Dollar Babies this time. But I get it - the stage was smaller and I don’t think they could safely use the prop in this venue.
If you are wondering whether or not to go - just do it. Go. Great show.

Been a huge fan of Alice since around 72 or 73. Of course I was one of the high school seniors out of many that celebrated their last day of high school driving around town playing School's Out on my 8 track as loud as I could in 74. This was my first time seeing him alive (birthday gift from my daughter and family!) and it was better than I expected but then I expected a LOT with him being THE ALICE COOPER. His performance was AMAZING, exhilerating, thrillling!!!!!!
I am now disabled and walk with a cane but my cane and I danced to every song and I sang with most of them. I even did a some head banging. Only Alice has brought this out since my injury. I had a SPECTACULAR night because of Alice and his undeniable talent. Of course the band was awesome and so were his supporting performers who played their parts with vigor. BEST NIGHT EVER.
If you have not seen him live, you are missing a lot!

I am giving Alice 5 stars because as always his show rocked. I was not crazy about how long it took to get into the venue considering it was almost 100 degrees outside. Fortunately I picked seats on the shady side. I was glad I could see the screen on the side. We were in the 4th row and was glad I wasn't on the floor. Definitely not enough concessions for this kind of show. It took over an hour just for my SO to get a hot dog. I was glad I had gotten my lemonade as we walked in.
A lot of confusion over people trying to get down to the floor and not having wristbands. Stayed for Def Leppard but then I was out of there. Too much congestion trying to get through to get out. Not sorry we went but don't know that I would go again.

First of all, since 1986 I've been griping that the band never did "Lock Me Up" live. It's such a perfect stage song, since it's about the show. I finally got my wish! They opened with it and I was beyond delighted. (For anyone thinking of the lyrics to that, yes, back in the day there was a "splatter zone" where the first few rows would get pelted with stage blood; I speak from experience!)
I was very annoyed with the stage design. The center of the stage was recessed so much that those of us in the sides couldn't see it at all. While the band was great about making sure to come to both edges -- and pay attention to those of us up on the sides, which I appreciated -- I was not happy that I couldn't see Glen Sobel on drums. I like to watch everyone and he was completely hidden.
Still, the show was great (as always). Where my seat was meant we could watch the band come and go from the stage, which was fun. And I got attention from Chuck Garric when he came to that side, which is always fun.
I'm looking forward to the other 2 shows I have on my schedule!

Alice Cooper: 5/14/23 “I made my way up I85 and into Spartanburg Sunday evening for what was bound to be a Mother’s Day to remember. Despite the fact that the Godfather of Shock Rock has had 39 career tours it would turn out to be my first time ever seeing Alice Cooper LIVE! Billed the ’Too Close For Comfort Tour’ (an April/May mini-tour) brought him to the Upstate for a gig mashed directly in between Saturday/Monday dates in Knoxville and Charleston respectively. Vincent Damon Furnier 75 who legally changed his name to match that of the band’s when he solo’d off had plenty of material to draw from —a total of 28 albums spanning 1969-2021 with 23 charted singles. My seats were 2nd row, first balcony, not exactly too close for comfort but close enough and high enough to take in everything going on. The stage concealed until showtime was set as such: There were two sets of stairs leading up to platforms stage left and right, a railed walkway on either sides of the drum kit with Alice’s name on dual drum heads. Four video screens resembling windows were the backdrop and three tiers of light bars and four tiers of multicolored lighting rigs kept things illuminated in vivid colors (think Halloween purple, poison green and blood red). All the musicians save the drummer were in the forefront with Alice. At 7:43 p.m. the lights dimmed to a demanding vocal command ‘Order In The Court’ and with the sound of a pounding gavel as the curtain dropped to a drumroll. A large banner unraveled that read‘ BANNED IN SOUTH CAROLINA’ while images on the video screens shown newspaper articles some of which read: ‘Ban Alice The Horror Rocker’, ‘The Most Dangerous Pop Star’, ‘Sick, Sick Music’, ‘Cooper Vomits Violence’…. His silhouette shone through the banner which doubled as a curtain he sliced down the middle with a sword. The voice said, ‘Alice Cooper how do you plead?’ ‘Guilty!’, and Coop took the stage for a 1.35 hour / 23 song set beginning with a partial rendition of 1987’s ‘Raise Your Fist’ leading into ’No More Mr. Nice Guy’. Dressed all in black complete with trademark baton, top hat, tails, boots, gloves, black belt with a dragon buckle, and his eyes blackened out with his iconic heavy makeup he made a grand appearance. Rolling through 1973’s ’No More Mr Nice Guy’ and 1970’s I’m Eighteen’ Coop swapped out sword for baton then baton for crutch waving and extending the prop toward audience members. On ‘Billion Dollar Babies’ Cooper currency rained down as confetti into the audience. 2017’s ‘Fallen In Love’ began with Alice leading a harmonica vs guitar dueling trade-off. Coop entered the stage with a live Boa Constrictor wrapped around his neck for ‘Snakebite’. 1994’s ‘Lost In America’ filled the video screens with images of Vegas, money, patriotic stars, and one where the Statue of Liberty had Cooper’s eyes, make up and all. It wasn’t only the star himself in the spotlight, drummer Glen Sobel treated us to a pounding solo, a must have in any rock show! Alice took to the platform via the stairs stage left to sing ‘Welcome To My Nightmare’ acting the part of a band conductor and ending the song by tossing a life-sized mannequin onto the stage floor. He danced with and dragged around the lifeless figure during ‘Cold Ethyl. Alice finally took a seat center stage as things slowed down a bit for ‘Only Women Bleed’ where a dancer from backstage came out eerily swaying and gyrating about him. Flashes of light resembling lightning intro’d ‘Feed My Frankenstein’ as electrical sparks ran across the video screens. A double-human sized Frankenstein came out pacing back and forth across the stage with the song ending in a Vincent Price narrative. Nita Strauss then appeared on the stage left platform to perform a shredding guitar solo. Stage left hit the jackpot as the lucky spot of the evening. Making that Ibanez sound SO sweet she ended the solo mid-stage in an all band guitar centered anthem-styled serenade. Cooper came out in a straight jacket for a ’Black Widow’ jam while a smoke concealed roadie brought out a guillotine for a simulated beheading during ‘Ballad Of Dwight Fry’. Winding out the evening a resounding class dismissal bell sounded introducing ’Schools Out’. Smoked filled bubbles began shooting out from both stage sides, the smoke escaping as each one brake on the stage floor. A half dozen various colored giant balls bounced out from behind stage into the crowd with a commanding cry ‘It’s Party time’. As they bounced back on stage Coop took up his sword piercing each of them to mini explosions of confetti coming from inside. After a snippet of ‘Another Brick In The Wall’ Alice finally spoke to introduce the band. ‘Well, well, well ,well Spartanburg Alice finally speaks. By now you’re probably asking yourself “Who are all these good looking people on stage?”’ The band, all accomplished musicians as would be expected included: ‘Her Majesty’ Nita Strauss and Ryan Roxie on lead guitars, Tommy Henriksen (songwriter, producer, and arranger for too many artists to mention) on rhythm guitar, Chuck Garric on bass (LA Guns, Dio, Ted Nugent), and Glen Sobel on drums (session artist for far too many artists to mention). ‘And playing the part of Alice Cooper tonight, ME!’ ‘One more?’ he shouted as the lights dimmed for 1972’s ‘Elected’! The side stage stairs now transformed into a podium styled campaign platform with an American flag bunting were rolled center-stage. Two American flags stood a top as Coop climbed up wearing a red and blue star top hat and stars and stripes jacket. Red, white, and blue lights shown down and the words ‘ELECT COOPER FOR PRESIDENT’ shone on the screens as he gave his election speech! Ending with a rain of confetti the band took their final bows. Despite all the afore mentioned theatrics, props, and illusions, it was the brilliancy of the music shown through —just authentic plain old school rock ’n’ roll. In all this it’d be a travesty not to mention that Alice is a wonderful human being, sober since the mid-80’s he’s continued to help and counsel other rock musicians with their addiction battles. As a born again Christian he’s been quoted, ‘Why should the devil have all the good music’ and ‘[it] doesn’t say anywhere in there that I can’t be a performer.’ In his high school yearbook, Vincent’s ambition was to be ‘a million record seller’ —an accomplishment he’s surpassed some 50x over. He’s not about to slow down, ‘I will not let him (Mick Jagger) beat me when it comes to longevity.’ So if you haven’t already, catch Cooper LIVE when you can, it’ll be an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime!” Review and photo by DAve (Concert #779)

Alice Cooper and his band never seize to amaze me.His spontaneous fun with crowed is just as amazing.A young girl fan gets gently roughed up while taking a video during only women bleed ,then he gives her his cane.A women tries to get her picture took with her back against the stage and there he was.Grabbing her head for the picture. His show ,songs, surprises could have gone on endlessly. He is my favorite show and I will always See him when he comes to Milwaukee. Thanks Tommy and Chuck for the picks! And I got A Alice Cooper hundred. Also the bouncer on the right side of the stage would let people get a little close for a picture but would not let it get out of control which kept it fun. Thanks for a great night everyone envolved.

It was great as always, but Alice stayed on his right side of the stage most of the time and there were a lot of us on his left side of the stage upset about that. Also I have been trying to get his cane for over 48 years now and he seems to always hands it to a few of the same people that have gotten one in the past. I have had over 5 back surgeries and a botched knee job that doesn’t allow me to stand much anymore. Is there anyway that Alice would take pity on me and help me get one of his canes? I have been to his concerts since the early 70’s, and with my health I’m running out of time. Thank you so very much, and long live the COOP!! Laurie Marcukaitis

Alice was great, as he always is. Couldn't see anything though. We had floor seats which would have been perfect except we had "The Rock" and his husband right in front of us. They swayed to some of the songs. Who the hell sways to Alice Cooper music? The only time I could see the stage is when he held up his phone to record. Then I could see it through his phone screen. He stood for the whole show. Ace Fraley,,,,,,umm, not so much a favorite.
As for the venue, the Guest Services folks were fantastic. From Security to finding our seats, they were awesome. Another great perk,,,,having cocktail service brought right to my seat. I may have paid $24.00 for one drink (plus tip) but so what. Heck yeah, bring me a drink.
That being said, I think I'll choose balcony seats next time. I'll just have to stand in the drink line.
Well done! to the organizers at Dollar Loan Center.

Alice Cooper is an amazing man. At 74 years young, the Coop rocked Memphis with a high energy setlist that everyone in the crowd seemed totally into. As usual, Alice's energy was that of a 25 year old and the backing band was incredible. Is there a more underrated guitarist than Ryan Roxie?
The setlist was superb with the recently added "Freedom" off the underrated Raise Your Fist and Yell album bring a string highlight. Some people can't seem to get past Alice's 70's period but he he has so many songs from the 80's to the present that are every bit as strong or even better.
The show stayed high energy the entire time and really the only song that seemed out of place was "My Stars." Everything else was flawless. Despite touring several months a year, Memphis doesn't get Alice a ton which is a shame because when he does play here the crowd is always into it.

Absolutely brilliant, outstanding show kicked off by quality support in a band called Creeper who did a great job warming up, well worth looking out for in the future!
Then the Cult, well what a performance, the band were absolutely stunning, from command of the stage and audience to the musical showmanship, brilliant news to hear Ian Asbury say they have new music on the way and hopefully a tour, thoroughly enjoyed them, if the show had finished then we would have been happy, but,
Then the fabulous Alice Cooper, once again an entertaining theatrical performance, from an appearance of Frankenstein's monster to the guillotine, dead babies and hunchback's, an absolutely tight well drilled band, Ryan Roxy, Nita Strauss, Tommy Henriksen, and fronted by the man who plays Alice Cooper! If you haven't already experienced this band before and love rock music and theatre then don't delay!
Only issue was it passed too quickly!!!!

Ace Frehley opened up the night, his band is great, and Ace has never sounded better! He’s back in the New York groove and tearing up the stage!
Alice Cooper was amazing! I’ve seen him play multiple times including the Warfield before the pandemic hit. He always puts on an amazing show but the one in Paso Robles has been the best so far, complete with a giant Alice monster, reminiscent of (Eddie) from Iron Maiden and and a scary and hilarious demon baby for the song Billion Dollar Babies. That’s just a small sample of the tricks Mr. Cooper has in his bag. With an incredibly talented band under his command and fantastic stage set up this is definitely a show worth seeing.

Alice Cooper Killer was my first album purchase. I saw Alice at the Pacific Coliseum in 1978. It was my first live show. He was my first rock and roll hero. Needless to say, I have a soft spot for The Coop.
He was and is a great entertainer. He has surrounded himself with an outstanding band who more than make up for any losses in Cooper's vocal work or physical abilities.
Highlights: Alice dug deep into his catalogue to play "My Stars" from the School's Out album; all of his 70s hits were welcomed by me. "Escape" from Welcome to My Nightmare and "Be My Lover," "No More Mr. Nice Guy," "Eighteen," "Billion Dollar Babies," and "Under My Wheels" were all performed with great energy.
The songs that got the biggest pop - "Poison," "Feed My Frankenstein," and "Teenage Frankenstein" are of the period that I tend to ignore. "Hey Stoopid" from the same period was also played and epitomizes the dictactic quality of the period that leaves me flat.
Fortunately, he has produced some great tunes later in his career and those helped off set the weaker sections of the set; weak by my standards ... the number of phones recording those moments would show me as wrong.
Alice closed the night with a rousing rendition of School's Out that included his introductions of his band and well deserved celebrations of their work. The songs end led to a well deserved standing ovation for the legend and his band.
I'm not sure if Alice will be back, or whether he should, but regardless Saturday night in Abbotsford, The Coop reminded us all how Vaudeville and rock came together to invent the rock and roll show. Thanks for the memories Alice; you will always be a hero.

Alice was totally awesome! Hit after hit (though I really hoped he'd do "I Wanna Be Elected") and not a lot of yakking between songs. For somebody who's had as long a career as Alice has I'm blown away by the energy and passion he still puts into it. If I could review the bands separately I'd say five stars for Alice, but the opening band could up their game a bit. Buckcherry talked too much between songs. They could've been forgiven if the banter had been clever or original, but it wasn't really. If I was fifteen and got big thrills out of hearing rockstars loudly and publicly shout words mummy would never let me use in the house, I might've been entertained. As that isn't the case for me, I say "Less talk more rock."

That was a Great Concert!! My Wife and I were in the front row and we were up close and personal with the bands. I enjoyed watching Stevie D of Buckcherry playing Guitar and tapping the sound controls with his foot plus his interaction to the young girl sitting by us. He shook her hand and gave her a guitar pick and she had a big smile on her face. And for Alice Cooper Tommy and Nita were in front of us and besides us. And Ryan Roxie was a little shocked that I was wearing a Nita Strauss shirt and not one of his like I normally do. Alice was just inches away from us. It was truly a Great Concert and a great venue for a concert. Thanks for the show!!

I've seen Alice probably several dozen times (I've lost count), and it's always a blast. He and the band always put on a top notch show. The new set is really wild, and the new set list is fun, too. I got to hear some things that haven't been done live for years, if at all. I did the VIP thing this show, which is cool, tho I'm curious to look up my photos from it. Alice and I were so busy talking about a previous band that I have no idea if I was even looking at the camera. I was a bit disappointed we didn't get the stage tour this time, like last year. But with 2 other
bands playing before him, it made sense.
I probably won't make it to another show this tour, but the 2 I did see were a blast. Anyone who hasn't seen him live -- do it! You won't be disappointed. He's still a consummate showman, and the band is great.

I had heard that this tour had a new set, as well as a new set list, so was curious to see the result. Not that I doubted I'd love it; Alice never disappoints. The set was great, stairs and a turret to wander around on, and of course the requisite spooky, gory props.
And it was really cool to see him pull out
songs that he hadn't done live for years, if
ever. Plus during costume changes the band played bits and pieces of a variety of songs,
which was fun. My only problem was trying to watch everyone! Because not only is Alice as much fun as ever, but as usual, the band is great.
It was a general admission show, and I like to be up front, which meant being on my feet for about 8 hours. Not easy on the aging feet or back. But worth every minute!
I have a ticket for the Riverbend show and can't wait to see it again.

Hard to believe that Alice and crew are still bringing it so hard. They absolutely rocked the Modell Lyric in Baltimore. Crisp clear sound with vocals that were as if he was still 18. I leaned over to my buddy and exclaimed just how great he sounded live. Having seen Rush with Geddy up in years and Guns N Roses front man Axel not being able to hit those notes they used to... this was not so for Alice Cooper. He sounded fantastic with great stage presence and a show to go with it. The trip guitar ensemble that accompanied the night was a real pleasure which took me back to those hard driving power chords from the mid-seventies and eighties. Would go see him again in a heartbeat!
