About Sydney Anderson
The rising pop-country star’s debut is a soulful blend of Texas and Nashville
Anderson began honing her sound the first time she tried imitating Patsy Cline. Her grandfather handed her a cassette of Cline’s greatest hits, and told her she’d wind up in Nashville in no time if she learned to play like her idol. Soon enough, Sydney was jamming on well-known honky tonk stages like Tootsies and The Stage, and parlayed that into a gig alongside Demi Lovato and an appearance on Oxygen’s The Glee Project. Through it all, she’s developed a style that calls to mind Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes and Miranda Lambert. Her debut EP focuses on many of the themes that her predecessors pursued in their work, too. It’s a six-song record that Anderson co-wrote with regular writing partner Zach Balch, and tracked at Spaceway Productions in Fort Worth and Flint Creek Records in Dallas.
"When you create a sound that is new yet familiar, you've struck gold. That's exactly what Sydney's done in this project.” - Ron Bultongez, ABC’s American Idol
“An incredible voice and talent. A musical experience that you don’t want to miss!” - Ken Nelson, Senior Vice President at Universal Music Publishing Group
“Sydney Anderson is a transcendent talent. She has all the tools for the making of a Texas Music icon.” - Zach Balch, Owner/Producer at Flint Creek Records
