Aurium

Aurium is a Serbian progressive symphonicmetal band formed in Serbia, Belgrade in 2012. Its name was inspired by a medical term (Tinnitus Aurium) describing sounds of physiological or pathological origin, which may or may not always be perceived in consciousness. The group's line-up includes lead songwriter and keyboardist Sinisha Mladenovick and lead singer Dragica Maletic. Originally a metal band, Aurium adjusted its musical style by adding orchestral instruments, choirs and audio samples , emerged with art rock sound on their debut album, Still Life (2015). Founder of the project Sinisha Mladenovick became a dominant semi-amateur composer on the Serbian symphonic metal scene, with the release of his EP, The Silent Moon (2016) with five orchestra tracks from the second studio album, The Second Sun (2020), where they adjusted much more heavier sound of metal music.
