About Warren Zanes

Warren Zanes is the Vice President of Education at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and received his Ph.D in Visual and Cultural Studies from the University of Rochester.
His book about Dusty Springfield’s legendary album Dusty in Memphis was published by Continuum Books in 2003.
As a member of the group the Del Fuegos, Zanes made three albums for Warner Brothers in the 1980s.
He released a solo CD entitled Memory Girls on Dualtone in 2003 and has a second solo CD, People That I’m Wrong For that came out on Dualtone in March 2006.
His scholarly writings have been included in Afterimage, Film/Philosophy Journal, and in collections published by Columbia University Press and Duke University Press.
In addition, his work has appeared in Rolling Stone, The Los Angeles Times, The Oxford American, and the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
