DESERT FLOWER Emerged in May 2014 in the neighborhood of Queens, New York. Formed from the ashes of different musical projects, four Argentinians and a Polish girl united with musical thirst and the same goal of making MUSIC... Once the band was formed, it needed a name. They needed a reference to connect the beautiful voice of singer, the present female sex in the band, and their expressive musical depth.... Therefore, the drummer came up with the idea of calling the band "DESERT FLOWER". Their music is inspired and influenced by psychedelic rock combined with sounds from the 60s and 70s mixing with modern effects from the 21st century, creating compositions full of frenetic rhythm, ferocity and absorbent chorus. The electric guitars are, often used with coupling, wah wah, saturation, phasing and extreme reverb... They often use new effects and recording techniques and it is inspired by non-Western sources, such as the use of Indian music pedals. They are currently recording their first self-titled EP.
