Die Ruhrpott Death-Metal Maniacs von SABIENDAS melden sich mit einem brandneuen Album zurück.
Der zweite Lonplayer „COLUMN OF SKULLS“ markiert einen Meilenstein in der Geschichte der Band. Aus dem stilistischen Bastard hat sich eine eigenständige Marke entwickelt, welche ihre Ursprünge im amerikanischen Death-Metal der 90er Jahre allerdings nicht verleugnet.
Die Band wurde im Jahr 2006 von Gitarristin Alexandra gegründet und SABIENDAS nahmen im Jahr 2009 ihre erste EP „Buried Alive“ auf. Diese wurde sehr erfolgreich in Eigeneregie vertrieben und ist mittlerweile restlos vergriffen. Nachdem sich im Jahr 2011 ein bis heute konstantes Line-Up gebildet hatte, unterzeichneten SABIENDAS im Jahr 2013 bei BRET HARD RECORDS und veröffentlichten im gleichen Jahr ihr Debut-Album „RESTORED TO LIFE“. Thematisch knüpfte das Album an die Tradition der EP an. Die darauf enthaltenen Songs stammen ausschließlich aus der Feder von Alexandra.
„RESTORED TO LIFE“ wurde von der Fachpresse und vor allem von den Fans sehr positiv aufgenommen.
Der Erfolg des Albums und die Tatsache, dass SABIENDAS sich bis dahin einen Namen als unschlagbare Live-Band gemacht hatte, bescherte der Band die Möglichkeit sich auch auf großen Bühnen zu etablieren und sich im europäischen Ausland, von der Nordseeküste bis zum Balkan, einen Namen zu machen. Live zu spielen ist immer noch der größte Anreiz für die Band und aufgrund der mittlerweile langjährigen Erfahrung gelang es SABIENDAS so manch schwieriges Publikum „zu knacken“.
Wer es gesehen hat, wird es bestätigen: SABIENDAS sind „Live, eine Macht“.
Mit „COLUMN OF SKULLS“ ist es nun gelungen diese Power auf eine CD zu bannen. Erstmals wurden ausschließlich Songs aufgenommen, welche im Zusammenspiel der kompletten Band im aktuellen Line-Up entstanden sind. Das Album stellt für SABIENDAS eine nicht zu überhörende Weiterentwicklung dar, da die Band es geschafft hat, stilistisch eigenständiger zu werden, abwechslungsreicher zu klingen und nichts an Härte und Kompromisslosigkeit einzubüßen. Man legt eher noch eine Ladung zu.

The Death-Metal -Maniacs SABIENDAS from the german “ruhr-area” are back with a brand-new album. The second lonplayer “COLUMN OF SKULLS” marks a milestone in the band’s history. Starting as a stylistic bastard, the band established itself as an independent label, which nevertheless does not deny its roots/origins in the American death metal of the 90s.
In 2006, the band was founded by its guitarist Alexandra and in 2009, SABIENDAS recorded their first EP “Buried Alive” which has been successfully distributed autonomously and which is completely sold out. As a constant line-up has been built since 2011, SABIENDAS signed up with BRET HARD RECORDS in 2013 and released their debut album “RESTORED TO LIFE” in the same year. The album has linked up with the EP’s tradition. The songs from the album have been penned by Alexandra and “RESTORED TO LIFE” has been taken in positively by the specialist press and especially by the fans.
The success of the album and the fact that SABIENDAS has established its reputation as an unbeatable live band by then, gave it the opportunity to establish itself on big stages and to make a name for itself in other European countries, reaching from the North Sea coast to the Balkans. For the band, the greatest attraction is to play live and because of its longstanding experience SABIENDAS succeeds in “cracking” the audience, even the toughest.
Whoever has seen it, will confirm that SABIENDAS is “Live, a force”.
“COLUMN OF SKULLS” succeeded in capturing this power/force on one CD. For the first time, songs have been recorded solely that emerged out of the entire band’s interplay in the current line-up. The album depicts SABIENDAS’s conspicuous development, as the band has managed to get stylistically more independent, to sound more varied and to lose none of its rigidity and uncompromisingness. It goes even further.
