Emerson Jay

Writing music in college served as my journal. I started writing and recording a song a day in my small studio apartment in Chicago. On a winter break when I came home to Pittsburgh and showed a few of my closest friends some of the new songs I had been working on. In that same year I dropped out of school and my friends and I went on to perform at a few major music festivals including Electric Forest and Mamby on the Beach. We opened for a sold out Lotus show and HAIM show at one of Pittsburgh's hottest venues, and racked up over 200,000 plays on a new single. Everything just snowballed from a few journal entries and I can't wait to show everyone what's to come next with our first full length album. Do what you love.
