About Brooks Dixon
Much like his hometown in the Carolina foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the music of singer-songwriter Brooks Dixon represents a meeting place between the mountains and the sea. Incorporating Appalachian folk elements, and the jazz-blues-soul of the Carolina Piedmont, Dixon's sound draws influence from folk-pop icons like James Taylor, Bob Dylan and Ray LaMontagne and is filled with a sense of nostalgic warmth. His latest album, "Rhododendron Highway" takes the listener on a biographical journey of life's twists and turns through an Americana lens.
In additional to this latest album, Brooks Dixon has been releasing music independently under his own label Ackley Records for a decade and has shared the stage with acts such as Mipso, Paul McDonald, Ira Wolf, Sam Burchfield, and Ryan Montbleau and many others. Catch him or his full band the Brooks Dixon Band around their home in Upstate South Carolina and beyond.
