Iolanda is a Portuguese singer/songwriter, recently based in London. Hailing from a Jazz background, her sultry sound combines powerful jazz/soul vocals with acoustic hip/hop and funk beats. Iolanda’s songwriting beautifully conveys her intuitive nature and guarantees to take you on a captivating journey through her work of honesty and authenticity.

Iolanda started studying music at a young age, learning some classical piano, saxophone, and by herself, the guitar. Although this instrument knowledge is something to be said, it’s with her voice that she feels at home and expresses herself the best. After some appearances in Portuguese televisions shows, she was invited to record a single with one of the most well known Portuguese singers, from the band “Fingertips” which lead her to be heard on the biggest radios across the country. In the meanwhile, she studied vocals in a prestigious jazz school, the HotClub of Portugal and she continued gigging fervently, collaborating with various musicians and ambiances. Now, she has finally taken everything she is to pursue her vision in London, where she found a place to continue developing her songwriting, joining her latin balanced roots and her pureness in words, with this London neo-soul.
