David Hasselhoff

David Michael Hasselhoff (born July 17, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland) is an American actor, singer and songwriter best known for his lead roles on Knight Rider and Baywatch. He also crossed over to a relatively successful music career, primarily in Germany and Austria, and was most famous for his cover version of "Looking For Freedom" in the late 1980s, which became an anthem for the reunification of Germany, and the end of communism in Eastern Europe. In a recent attempt to cash in of his post-celebrity kitsch appeal, he has produced a number of bizarre music videos, including "Hooked on a Feeling" and "Jump in my Car", which defy good taste and common sense.
