Leland Did It

ENG Leland Did It is an alternative-rock project, born around a table, "modded" and covered in synths and drum machines, called Cake. The five members of the band gravitate around it during the live shows, mixing electronic parts with a more rock sound sound of the guitars and the voice, giving life to a "new wave, synth dance and obscure electronic" (Rockit) . In March 2014 the band releases its first EP, Cake_tales, distribuiting more than 1000 copies. In 2015 the band releases Black Feet, their first single played live, available on Spotify, Google Play Music, iTunes. Their first LP, TEMPO, is issued on May 2016 by the label Piccola Bottega Popolare (along with Audiogloble for the distribution of the CD in Italy and The Orchard for the digital version wordlwide). The first single drawn from the record is Midnight, which videoclip is shot by Acquasintetica and previewed on Wired magazine. The promotional tour led the band to share the stage with artist like Godblesscomputers, Clap! Clap!, along with a higher and higher attention by the audience and the media. ITA Leland Did It è un progetto di musica alternative rock – elettronica nato attorno a un tavolo, modificato e ricoperto di synths e drum machines, che si chiama Cake. I cinque elementi fondatori ci gravitano intorno durante i live, miscelando le parti di elettronica con il suono più rock delle chitarre e della voce dando vita a una “new wave, synth dance ed elettronica oscura” (Rockit). Nel Marzo 2014 la band realizza il suo primo EP, dal titolo Cake_Tales, distribuendo 1000 copie, mentre nel 2015 esce Black Feet un singolo in versione live, che viene distribuito su Spotify, Google Play Music, iTunes. Il primo long-playing, TEMPO, esce a maggio del 2016 con la label Piccola Bottega Popolare (via Audioglobe per la distribuzione fisica in Italia e The Orchard per la distribuzione digitale globale). Dal disco è stato estratto il primo singolo Midnight, il cui videoclip, realizzato da Acquasintetica è uscito in anteprima su Wired. Il tour promozionale italiano ha portato la band a condividere il palco con artisti come Godblesscomputers, Go Dugong, Clap Clap, oltre che ad una crescente attenzione intorno al progetto, sia da parte del pubblico che dei media.
