In Gowan Ring

As poet, pilgrim, progenitor of wyrd-folk and maestro of In Gowan Ring and Birch Book, B'ee has developed a homespun sonic tapestry with peculiar richness of vision; recording over a dozen full length albums and performing in over 30 countries worldwide in veritable itinerant fashion.

Variously labeled 'Wyrd', 'Psychedelic' or 'Symbolist' Folk Music, In Gowan Ring is rooted in poetic-folk traditions while cultivating an inimitable, self-attuned writing style that prefigured the 'New-Psyche-Folk' movement.

As well as composing the original material for In Gowan Ring, B'ee collects renditions of traditional songs and builds many of the acoustic instruments featured in his performances and recordings. He has also studied the music of the Trouveres and Troubadours, the counterpoint of the High Renaissance, and modern orchestration.

In Gowan Ring have shared bills with Faun, Woven Hand, Vashti Bunyan, Robin Williamson & others; appeared on comp albums featuring Acid Mothers Temple, Nico, The Strawbs, Tiny Tim, William Burroughs et al.
