Jerry Cantrell

Great mix, good variety of AiC songs and his solo works, okay-ish crowd. I like Archer so the venue is really nice. I was near the front of the bar, in front of Jerry himself, and he clearly enjoyed being there. Made some small talk about the Eagles and I nearly went deaf just from the screams and yelling. Man in the Box alone nearly made me deaf!

It was great seeing Jerry and his band again. He puts in a great amount of effort to make sure his sound is right on the money. I watched him during sound check tweak the sound to have his sound dialed in completely. Perfectionist but in a good way. His sound is always on point as each venue is different you have to manipulate it. I have been watching him play since the late eighties in local bars and venues in the Seattle area and his writing and guitar skills have only gotten better over the years. The venue itself is cool, easy parking and there are many places to eat or have something to drink. It is standing room only though unless you pay 150 and up for a seat.

This concert was 32 years in the making for me. I missed seeing AiC at Lollapalooza and never took the opportunity after that to go to a show in the 90’s. When I heard Jerry Cantrell was coming to Austin, I realized I had to go! Not only did he play solo songs but also some staples from AiC’s vast library. Jerry is such an amazing artist! His skill and craft is second to none and his sound is both vocally and instrumentally top-tier peak! If you’re a fan of the Big Four of Grunge (or just like great music), you HAVE to see Jerry Cantrell!!!

Jerry is always amazing. This show was even heavier on solo material than the Brighten tour, which was fine by me. The new songs are locked in after only a few shows and the AIC songs sprinkled in sound great too. Hate to Feel was a nice tribute to his friend Layne. We also got an impromptu Aerosmith jam. I’m ashamed I didn’t recognize the song but it was a cool Boston moment! Love the band he’s put together (all fantastic players) but really missed the pedal steel that he brought last time (sorry, nit picking). Go see Jerry and check out his latest solo albums! He’s one of the best rock songwriters of his generation IMO.

Cantrell’s show in Sao Paulo, Brazil was just amazing! We were waiting for this “solo” show a long time. The new album is so good and refreshing for all the fans. We really appreciate his solo work as well as in Alice in Chains and he’s always very welcome here in our country! Please, come back soon!

Finally i got to meet one of my favorite guitar players Jerry Cantrell and i must say queuing for nearly 2 hours was well worth it. He was very kind, complimented my jacket, gave me a hand shake and a guitar pick. Signed my CD as well. The only disappointing part was that his manager never allowed photos to be taken. On top of everything i met them both on the next day outside a hotel in Central London where i was the only person waiting outside. Again to my disappointment when i asked Jerry to take a quick photo his manager refused it again saying Another time. Considering the fact that i was a fan for 34 years and he wasn't tired from a gig and there was nobody else, they could not waste 10 seconds for a quick photo. Not impressed at all...

I had such a fantastic time at the concert! We took a road trip from Dallesport, WA, in the Columbia River Gorge, to Bend, OR, to catch the incredible Jerry Cantrell. It was awesome hearing both new and classic Alice in Chains music. I've been a huge fan of his guitar-playing style since the early 90s. I'm looking forward to the next Alice in Chains tour. Hopefully, they'll return to Bend, OR, maybe even Hayden Homes Amphitheater! Chrissie

This show was fantastic! Jerry Cantrell gave us a great show and reminded us all that he's one of the greatest of all time! I loved the news that he's got new music coming out soon, and he played a lot of the old favorites. This was the concert of the year, and Jerry Cantrell was the master!

I loved seeing Jerry Cantrell again, it’s good to see someone I saw from 35 years ago still creating music and still touring. I really enjoyed seeing him and Candlebox. Both him and Candlebox both noticed the older fella near me holding up his tribute to Andy Wood and acknowledging him, made his day. The venue itself? Not a fan of it. I had purchased tickets months ago and usually you can go back and forth from seating to the floor and wasn’t allowed which sucked

The show was absolutely the best I've been to in literally almost 25 years! I duno who did their sound, but they had that mix dialed in, geared low, & cranked to perfection! Especially in songs where the kick drum & bass guitar would be in unison, you didn't just hear it, you felt it! Jerry put on a great show, though I missed the very beginnin' due to a drop in my blood pressure & havin' to make a quick trip to the medical room off of the floor area. By the way I would like to thank the medical staff for takin' such good care of me while I was havin' that issue. I would also like to thank the Firefighter who just happened to be there as a fellow concert-goer, & saw me in distress, & alerted the proper personnel, since I was clearly incapacitated. Since I have no way of knowin' who he was, as I didn't catch his name, I'd like to just thank all Firefighters. Not just the ones at the concert,....ALL Firefighters! I would also like to thank Jerry's Production Manager who worked with my Brother in 2022 on the Brighten Tour, for getting the tickets for me. You have no idea how happy you made this ole broad! "I am eternally grateful!" They were the best seats you could get, & I've literally waited years to see Jerry. I did get to finish Jerry's set, after they were sure my blood pressure was stable, (I was stable), & got some decent footage & pictures of the show. The first act, Tim Montana, (I hope I'm rememberin' that correctly), before my, "spell", obviously, though I'd never heard of him before, I thought he was badass! And of course I'm a Candlebox fan. In fact, durin' their last song, I got hit with 2 drumsticks! My friend & I were laughin' on the way home how it was just my luck that I get whacked with 2 drumsticks, & didn't end up with either one of'em! Considerin' my last name is Murphy you think I'd be use to it, especially by the fact that I didn't even get to stay to see BUSH! I was startin' to get weak again, & didn't wana end up back in the sick room, or worse, the ER. What I did get to enjoy, I enjoyed immensely & then some! Like triple that! Then add infinity! Lol.

Jerry kicked rock's ass last night! His solo material is great and performed wonderfully. But those Alice in Chains songs rocked the house! The opening act, Thunder Pussy, was great. I really like the singer's voice. The acoustics at the Fox Theatre are excellent. Don't miss Jerry if he comes to your town...but you won't match the crowd in Spokane. \m/

Jerry Cantrell and his band put on a badass show, as always. I was at the show in Riverside in February and the audience energy was very absent. The energy and incredible appreciation from the audience at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo was outrageous, and you could feel Jerry's performance feeding off of it. I wish every audience he played for showed their love for him as much as Buffalo did. He has paid his dues with his blood, sweat, and tears, and he deserves to be shown the greatest love and respect for it. All that being said, Jerry, with Greg Puciato at his side, along with Tylor Bates, Gil Sharone, and others, was phenomenal! Thank you, Jerry, and I hope to see you back out with Sean, William, and Mike Inez soon after the Brighten tour wraps up.

Show was great and the band seemed excited to be there. Song selection was a good mix of his solo work and plenty of Alice In Chains hits to keep the crowd happy. I’ve never sat in the balcony before at the Wellmont Theater but the sound upstairs was just so so. Would definitely go see him again.

Always a treat to see a living legend do their thing. There are a lot of AIC songs in the set (audience pleasers for sure), but I would LOVE to hear more of the solo material, which totally stands up on its on. Also, Jerry left points on the field… with Mastodon in the house and William Duvall local (I didn’t see him there), it would have been rad to get those guys on stage for an encore moment. The Eastern is a killer venue!

The most amazing experience since ages for me. Jerry was in great shape and the songs in the setlist were awesome. The right mix from every his and AiC album. I missed See of sorrow, but I got Bleed the Freak and Got me wrong, which made my night. Thanks for all the fun, Jerry. I love you 🤘🏻

Excellent show, great venue. 7 people on the same stage, they played materials from 3 Jerry solo albums as well “classic” Alice In Chains songs. Ended with Elton John’s Goodbye (as it close JC latest Brighten album) cover. At the end, after “guitar pick” distribution to people, they decided for bigger size pick, with toblerone 😂 every piece reminds a big guitar pick.

Amazing show, Jerry and band’s talent blew me away. So much great energy and pure talent. The venue was cozy, don’t think there is a bad seat or spot in the house (‘cept for the person standing under the balcony when the drunk guy in front of us spilled his beer). Staff is super friendly, restrooms were clean and beverages were a good price.

I am completely lost in the Fillmore’s lack of knowledge of lights and the experience of working with lights! Other than the getting blinded directly by painful punctured of lights! Anywho- maybe I am getting too old or I am just so spoiled I had to complain that- freaking sucks- never in my life and I am bit older than Jerry- fucking blinded constantly

OMG the best show I've ever seen. I'm going to see Alice in chains in October so it will be a toss up then lol. We went to the meet and greet and he felt so bad that night but still performed like a champ. I wished I could see more of the shows.

This was their first show of the Brighten tour and the band was tight. I was surprised and delighted that they played songs off Boggy Depot, Degradation Trip and some Alice treasures. Jerry would occasionally let out a kind of funny grunt/sigh that revealed how happy he was to return to the stage and perform his music for us after a pandemic induced break from live shows. I'd recently gone through some difficult stuff, and going to see this show really lifted my spirits. The Palace allowed minors in the balcony section, which I thought was cool. Jerry has fans from a wide range of ages and I love to see kids get to experience live RAWK performances while having a safe environment to do so.
