Loner Lawrence

Loner Lawrence is the alter ego of producer duo Timothy and Kaim, somewhat tentatively called into existence in March 2020 upon their self-released debut-album ‘Anathema is Easy’. The two friends have a long history of musical exploration stretching back to founding a short-lived guitar-based post-punk outfit, to recording experimental noise-rock tracks on a Tascam Portastudio in Kaims dingy little appartement in Wettingen under the guise of “Lost Tapes”. Whilst their focus has shifted more towards electronic composition, the joy of experimentation has stayed true, resulting in an eclectic debut-album, which does-not defy genre-classifications, but simply does not care for anything which conceptually restrains the horizons of creative expression. As the alter ego suggests, Loner Lawrence is a somewhat introspective undertaking, placing a lot of value on the act of self-critique as a place to extend critique onto the immediate experienced environment. The producers consider composition as communicative act, freighted with meaning and verging on the autobiographical, however, choose to explore the possibilities of this expression through the most intuitive medium of ambience and un-intrusive subliminal messaging. Loner Lawrence look forwards to releasing their next album “Parochial Living” soon.
