About King James

King James is a metal/rock supergroup formed in 1993 by guitarist Rex Carroll (formerly of Whitecross). He joined former Sacred Fire frontman Jimi Bennett to form the band. Sometime later, they recruited Tim Gaines and Robert Sweet of Stryper and released their first album in 1994. The band supported the album with a tour, but Gaines and Sweet departed shortly after. Carroll and Bennett remained together and released "The Fall" in 1997 and "MaXimus" in 2013. In 2025, they will reform with Jean Carllos and Lufeh of Oficina G3 to play at Part 2 of Immortal Fest.
