Stone Fixion

Stone Fiction was born in Timisoara, Romania,EUROPE in December 2000. The band was initially composed of members from other local Bands . Starting members of the band were Sergiu Popovici (guitar, vocals) and Alin Rusu (drums) . A short time after some rehearsals, the first tracks showed up, followed by the first gigs in local clubs and open-air festivals. Just after a few months, the band recorded its first material: the e.p. entitled FIXION(2001). After a period of testing new guitar players , the band members continued to follow its trio-set course (Sergiu, Alin and Tudor Marisescu-bass guitar). The music of Stone Fixion was a combination of 70s rocknroll, alternative (grunge), stoner, doom and 90s metal influences (hardcore, crossover). During this time(NOVEMBER 2002), Stone Fiction changed its name to Stone Fixion,The bands next songs revealed a different face of Stone Fixion, a new way of expressing what has always been there. This was definitely a change but a natural one. It represented the bands new concept and way of musical perception. The lyrics were based on day-to-day experiences, issues and opinions concerning everything that surrounded us and beyond. Therefore the recording for “Stagnant”(2005), the debut album sounded more straight hardcore-groove-metal. Also, half of the tracks on the album are having Ovidiu Bulbuc Takacz(implant for denial) on vocals. Starting from May 2005 till beginning of 2007, the vocalist was Daniel Klepsy Neagoe(my shadow). In December 2007 we welcomed our new vocalist Jack Popescu. We worked for the release of our new EP "Wrong age" that was released finaly in November 2009. In the beginning of 2010, founding member drummer Alin Rusu, decides to retire from the music scene due to too much deceptions within the music scene of our days, while the other members decide to continue recruiting a new drummer- Mihai Stroia( ex-torpedo) .In late 2010, our bassist for many faithful years, Tudor Marisescu, also decided to retire making way for Liviu Astilean. Starting April 2011, our new bassist is Bogdan Constantinescu. Hardcore Metal band from Timisoara
