Adrienne Tooley

Adrienne Tooley is a singer/songwriter who starting mirroring the note pitches from Sam Phillips’ “The Indescribable Wow” before she could even speak. The fact that parents tend to exaggerate the precociousness of their first-born children, however, means that anecdote could be vaguely hyperbolic. Regardless, her first foray into folk pop would not be her last. After studying at Point Park University where she received her B.A. in Musical Theater from their Conservatory of Performing Arts, Adrienne moved back to California where she quickly realized that everything she thought she wanted was, in fact, not the case, and so she bought a one way ticket to New York City, packed two bags and decided to wing it. Retrospectively, winging it was maybe not the wisest course of action for someone doing a complete life overhaul and moving to a strange city, but luckily, things eventually fell into place. After playing her first show, Adrienne realized she’d stumbled upon something with some sort of lasting power. She continues to play around the city at venues such as The Bitter End, The Studio at Webster Hall, and Rockwood Music Hall amongst others. Her first EP, “Nowhere Girl” was produced by Ted Young and independently released.
