About Dylan Bodley Music

Music has played a huge role in my life since day one. I've always viewed music as being the ultimate means of expression and finding the major themes of life in which everyone can relate. During my high school years, I was fortunate enough to grow musically with some very close friends of mine. We formed a band named Access Denied and gained a ton of valuable experience from playing venues that ranged from local restaurants to the Cincinnati Bengals Cheerleading auditions. Throughout high school, we went through a lot of hard work and effort to gain enough musical sense to create an album comprised of completely original material. During this process I found a strong passion for songwriting that aided with a personal expansion of creativity and expression. We recorded the album during the spring of 2012 and it is titled Breakthrough. If you're interested in listening to the album, you can find it on iTunes. We were fortunate enough to record with Erwin Musper who has recorded regularly with the Scorpions, Van Halen, Elton John, Mick Jagger, and David Bowie. Through this experience, I decided that I wanted to follow my passion for music in college. I auditioned for the Berklee College of Music in Boston and Belmont University in Nashville. Upon getting my acceptance letters, it was time to decide if I wanted to study guitar in Boston or Nashville. Throughout all of the college visits I finally decided that Belmont felt like home. My major is Commercial Guitar and I aspire to become a professional musician. With the help of John Pell, my guitar professor, I have been able to learn copious amounts of ways to express myself further than I had ever imagined. For the summer I come back home to Cincinnati where I play at local restaurants, Fountain Square, weddings, private parties, and any other performing opportunities that come my way. I also take guitar lessons from Joel Greenberg and vocal lessons from David Urbon at the Cincinnati Music Academy. These great musicians and teachers have given me an incredible amount of valuable personal experiences and tips with making my dreams become a reality. Thanks so much for all of the support!! My name is Dylan Bodley and I am a professional musician residing in Nashville. I graduated from Belmont in May of 2016 as a Commercial Guitarist.
