Pete Mielke

Artist Bio Pete Mielke is a Canadian artist currently residing in Burlington ON. who has firmly established himself as an acoustic singer/songwriter in the folk/roots rock tradition. Pete has also worked with several artists, both as a rhythm and lead guitarist, singer, bass player and as co-songwriter (Murky Pudding, Taylor Made, Moose Leg, Old Special, Diamonds & Rust, Soul Stealer and Sacred Electric). Pete is also currently utilizing his bass playing skills, backing vocals and song writing to a Hard Rock band named Wicked Wayz which has recently recorded seven (7) original songs in two (2) prominent studios in Toronto ON. and Belwood ON., as well as landed gigs throughout the GTA. Pete is continually experimenting with how he can weave the sounds of his voice with his acoustic creations. Pete uses his home studio and is continually working on his original tracks. Pete's musical endeavours and subsequent releases are aptly under the name Acousto-Eclectic Productions which accurately describes not only his varied tastes in music but also the flavours of his all-original sound. Pete likes to create songs that take his listeners and audiences to another place; instrumentally, lyrically and emotionally. Pete has played many venues in the Southern Ontario region for audiences as small as 25 people and as large as 1,500. PAST LIVE PERFORMANCES: Ivor Wynne Stadium, SummerFest @ The Rose Theatre Outdoor Stage, Metalworks Studios, Erin Meadows Community Centre, Rehearsal Pro Showcase, Acousto-Eclectic Productions Showcase, CMHA/Peel AGM, World Vision, Burnhamthorpe Theatre, Second Cup Cafe, MAC (Mississauga Arts Council) Events, Cooper's Pub, University of Toronto, Petro Canada Hall, Pic-A-Deli, Nags Head North, Moose Leg Showcase, Battle of The Bands, Open Mic Nights, Private Shows. In recent years Pete has expanded into modern recording technologies. Pete continues to enjoy a multitude of roles and as such, concentrates on: song writing, acoustic and electric guitar, singing as well as playing bass. Pete released his first album 'Out of The Ashes' to positive reviews, going back to basics with just acoustic guitar and vocals. Pete has released two new singles, 'A Place to Lay Our Hearts' and 'Stories Untold' in 2016.
