About LIL WAAH
Lil Waah is an energetic up-and-comer and the face of a new generation of hiphop. Rooted in Harlem and son of Ruff Ryder co-founder Jaoquin “Waah” Dean, his talent and charisma should come as no surprise. Raised in a musical family, Lil Waah began performing at the age of two and spent much of his time in the Powerhouse Studio listening to DMX, Jadakiss, Eve, and, of course, Michael Jackson. Mentored by his first cousin as well as producer Swizz Beatz, Lil Waah began writing and producing tracks. He won the New York State WOW contest and performed at the Harlem Juneteenth Celebration in 2010. He was also featured on BET’s “The Cypher” in October 2012. "I just want people to feel me and appreciate my work,” Lil Waah says. “I take this seriously. I don't do this because people get paid from it. I really want to change the way music is done." Currently, Lil Waah is working on his first mixtape, “Playtime is Over” featuring the singles “Kat Daddy” and “Jump”. Aside from his music career, Lil Waah maintains high grades and is involved in athletics at Cherry Lane Elementary School, receiving high honors for track, basketball and karate.
