Look Up Here

Risen from the ashes of Zero2nonE, The Empire State, and Anthem, San Diego’s Look Up Here is a pop punk quintet ready to take over the world. Friends and fans have described them as “powerful,” “orchestral,” “melodic,” and “one of the most energetic live rock shows to see in SD.” The five friends, based out of the San Diego suburb of Santee, have been together making music in Look Up Here for about 3 years now, with no sure end in sight. The group consists of Steve Diaz (guitar/lead vocals), Jason Diaz (guitar/vocals), Jon Tuttle (bass/vocals), Jeff Heater (drums), and Paul Vouaux (guitar/vocals). With the recent digital release of their freshman EP, “Be Home Soon,” Look Up Here is stopping at nothing to reach out to as many new fans and friends as possible. With the EP creating a ton of buzz on iTunes, Spotify, Reverbnation, and Facebook, the boys are poised to share their catchy songs of love, redemption, and brotherhood with you and anyone else who will listen; and in doing that, will hopefully succeed in reigniting the San Diego scene with a passion for local music reminiscent of the mid 90’s/early 2000’s. As a band, Look Up Here has played all around their great city at notable venues such as: House of Blues, San Diego County Fair, Brick by Brick, The Ruby Room, The Shakedown Bar, Good Guys, and The Jumping Turtle; and have also been interviewed and featured on KNSJ 89.1’s local music program. And that’s just the beginning of what they plan to do with their voices. The next steps for Look Up Here are festivals, fairs, touring, and trying to get noticed by YOU! To sum it up, one would be crazy to write these guys off as “just another punk band,” because they are so much more than that. As the late, great Hunter S. Thompson was quoted saying, “Music has always been a matter of Energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.” Look Up Here is that music.
