Cara has a lovely singing voice but it was hard on my ears when the music and her singing were at the highest volume.
The venue was excellent especially the theatre where each row of seats was one higher than the one in front so giving a clear view of the stage. However having had a left knee replacement I found that the rows were too close together. When I go again I will book a seat beside the aisle on my left.

The event was well organised and Cara and Sam put on an excellent show. It was however very disappointing that they did not do an encore. They received rapturous applause after their final song and there was considerable disappointment shown when they did not come back on stage. Sorry to say it left a bit of a bad impression. Sam had made the point that people need to attend more live music events. I agree but artists should in my view always do an encore if their audience gives prolonged applause and yearning for another song.

In the world of music, few luminaries shine as brightly as Cara Dillon. Known for her captivating live performances, this Irish singer seldom fails to leave audiences spellbound with her breathtaking voice and emotional delivery. Born in Dungiven and surrounded and infused with the rich cultural heritage of her native County Derry, Cara has risen to become one of the finest exponents of traditional Irish song anywhere in the world. Possessing a rare and unique voice that has been lauded since her very beginnings winning the All Ireland singing trophy aged only 14. Her most recent album "Coming Home" was shortlisted for the Northern Ireland Music Prize in November 2024.
