About Julian Gray
Julian Gray is a techno, electro and progressive house artist based in Los Angeles, CA. Born and raised outside of Washington, DC, with a musician father and a mother familiar with the 80's New-Wave scene, music was naturally the center of Julian's life from day one. Throughout his childhood, Julian was exposed to many genres of music, instilling a lasting sense of musical eclecticism apparent in his own work today.
Julian continues to recieve support from dance music icons Deadmau5 and Above & Beyond, from publications Forbes, EDM.com and MusicRadar (who referred to him as an "all-round Ableton guru"). Radio support includes BBC Radio, hosting a special episode of Anjuna's iconic "Group Therapy", continual play on SiriusXM and features on everything from Aly & Fila's FSOE to Armin Van Burren's A State Of Trance. Julian's discography is made up of several studio EPs, supported with singles and remixes under labels including deadmau5's legendary mau5trap imprint, Above & Beyond's iconic AnjunaBeats, the home of #REALPROG, ZeroThree Recordings, Gravitas Recordings and Elliptical Sun. Collaborative efforts include projects with the forward thinking genius Mr. Bill (Electrocado), Canadian progressive powerhouse Dezza, Drummer of Pendulum, Destroid, Illenium, and more KJ Sawka, the legendary trance duo Gabriel & Dresden, Elliott Berger, and EDDIE.
Today, Julian works to establish a signature sound, offering a unique combination of progressive house, techno and electro, often reffered by fans as 'Progress-o". Under YouTube moniker Julian Gray Media, Julian teaches pro-audio production and works in conjunction with many manufacturers, most notably Ableton, Loopmasters, Sonic Academy, and Splice, to bring his unique knowledge, style and talent to an audience eager for excellence in music education.
