About Connie Corleone
María Luisa Usoz began his career in the world of music in the early 1990s. In 1996 released a first album under the name "La Ciudad de las Últimas Cosas" (In The City of Last Things), pop-rock band with compositions by Mª Luisa Usoz and Simón Royo.
It was in 1998 when Connie Corleone was born with a new formation and songs composed by María Luisa Usoz. The band was a national finalist in "Imagine Rock 2000" and participated in initiatives as interesting as "The Poetry Cycle in the Rock" in the emblematic Monasterio de Veruela. In 2004 released her album "A la sombra..." (in the shadow...).
In 1999 Connie Corleone participated in an album tribute to George Harrison "Harrisongs", a project of Sgt. Beatles Fan Club of Spain, she recorded the song "I Need You". A few years later the guitarist Jesús Trasobares (founder of the first school of modern music in Zaragoza, "Taller de Rock", in 1988) looked for her to be the voice in the cover which his band recorded in 2003 for "Harrisongs 2", "Savoy Truffle". This is how Mª Luisa Usoz became the vocalist of Deveró (jazz-pop band) until 2008. With this Trasobare's project she released an album in 2005 and they play on stages like the Universal Expo Zaragoza 2008. With this same formation, conducted in 2009, by pure homage, a mythical concert where they performed the essential Carole King Tapestry under the name of The Coverettes.
In 2014 she released her second album as Connie Corleone “Un poderoso viento” (A Powerful Wind). Alongside she lead from 2012 the resident band in "El Corazón Verde", Zaragoza (ES) aka The Brandi Rippers. Dedicated, in the beginning playing covers of country-rock singer/songwriter Brandi Carlile, currently (and always having these songs of BCB -Brandi Carlile Band- based) the band offers a repertorie of great artist of the American Sound. Alternating these with Connie Corleone own songs.
She is currently recording the third album by Connie Corleone.
