About Emily Lynch

It has been 5 years since we first heard Emily Lynch’s debut album. Over the years, she has been making a name for herself in the Nashville songwriting community, developing her craft and writing with other artists and veteran hit-makers such as Shane McAnally (Lee Ann Womack, Kelly Clarkson), Brandy Clark (Kasey Musgraves) Rob Crosby (Martina McBride, Lady Antebellum), Nicolle Galyon (Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban) and Marcus Hummon (Dixie Chicks, Alabama), among many others. Gaining radio airplay across the country with Ricky Gunn’s single ‘King of This Town’, and a placement on the CW’s Jane The Virgin with Emily Hearn’s ‘Volcano’, Lynch has seen success in her songwriting. Canadian country artist, Kira Isabella also recorded one of Emily’s songs, ‘Coke Can’ on her album Caffeine & Big Dreams, which was later nominated for a 2015 Juno Award for Country Album of the Year. In December of 2013, Emily was invited to play her original song 'Heart of This City' at the Massachusetts Conference for Women in Boston, Massachusetts. Her tribute to honor the Boston Marathon bombing victims and their families was praised by all 10,000 in attendance. In the spring of 2015, Emily went back in the studio to begin working on her sophomore album, Light Shine In. Recorded in Nashville, Tennessee at esteemed Sound Emporium Studios, Emily teamed up with producer Ben Cooper and Grammy-winning mixer/engineer Chad Carlson. Musicians credited on the project include Dan Dugmore, Fred Eltringham, Audley Freed and Dennis Crouch, along with all-star featured vocalists, The McCrary Sisters and 20-time Grammy Award winner, Vince Gill. “I can honestly say that working on this project has been the most fulfilling experience I’ve ever had as an artist,” says Lynch. “I’m more comfortable with who I am as a person and I think that comes through in the music. All 13 songs on this album represent me and what I’m about, and that makes me really proud.” Emily Lynch’s new album Light Shine In will be available worldwide on April 29, 2016. www.emilylynch.com @emilylynchmusic
