The Velvet Lips

The Velvet Lips are a four piece 90s influenced/Alternative Rock group from Melbourne made up of Ash-lee Mick, Scott Maybus, Tearnu Graham and Michael Tweedale. The Velvet Lips originally formed in late 2013 through each members love of Rock and Ash's originals and hauntingly smooth vocals! After meeting at Uni and being placed in multiple bands with each other, they started realising there was a little somethin' somethin' between em Ash wanted to expand on her originals by collaborating with a rockin band, THEREFORE recruited Tweeds! after she noticed his solid beats and dashing good looks ! Tweeds happily obliged with a bad pun or two! Tearnu was next to come along, adding her driving bass and harmonies to the mix! And with that, the rhythm section was made! Through a few line up changes The Velvet Lips then found Scott! With his love of Distortion, Leather Jacket and Rippin out a solo or two!
