About The Lower Caves

The Lower Caves have developed a loyal following in their hometown of Nashville driven by enthusiastic word-of-mouth reviews of their live shows which combine memorable songs with an unmistakable love and energy for performing. This combination helped them win the Nashville 2011 Music City Mayhem Contest for best Nashville band, which led to a performance at Live On The Green. The band’s latest release and second full length album is titled Turquoise Blues. This self-produced collection of 15 songs was recorded in East Nashville over the better part of 2013 and was financed entirely by their fans through a successful Kickstarter campaign. It shows the band taking another large confident step forward musically; highlighting both strong, diverse songwriting and each of the four members individual talents. Turquoise Blues is the first release under their new moniker adding to a catalog already containing an Eastern Block self-titled EP, their first full length album Past Palace and a "Wingwalker / Terrible Fantastic" 7 inch single. Early supporter WRLT / Nashville (award winning commercial Triple A radio station) has played multiple songs by the band with the track “Protecting God” receiving over 100 plays to date. The Lower Caves songs have had their music featured on various national outlets including a Motorola on-line advertising campaign, MTV, ABC Family Network, The CW & Warner Bros Network and the L.A. Complex television series. Red Bull selected the band for its Sound Select campaign to promote and develop local talent in key US cities; and in April of 2014 The Lower Caves performed at nationally known Nashville independent record store Grimey’s for Record Store Day. The Lower Caves highly anticipated debut album 'Turquoise Blues' is out now http://apple.co/1BnrK5d. Tour dates at thelowercaves.com
